perfect park UHF mount mobile Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
i was initially skeptical regarding how this antenna, the GRA-RHM7350, would perform (all shortened verticals are compromise), but since i found a new one for a little over a Grant from a domestic seller on the evil Internet auction site i decided to give it a try

the antenna comes in the standard yellow-backed clear plastic sleeve in three parts: the PL-259 base (similar to the Yazoo ATAS-series) with sliding coil, a middle section, and top section, along with a small allen key and sheet of instruction paper

i placed the base on an MFJ-335BS 5-inch mag mount after assembling the antenna - it is 8.5 feet fully extended...

i then set the sliding coil, which is marked, to full extension ('17' for 40M) and ran my Xiegu G90's SWR sweep - the antenna analyzer and tuner built into the rig are pretty amazing... after a few adjustments - down to '16,' i had a wide-band match for the rig on 40M

remarkably, i was pleasantly surprised when i ended up having a 45-minute series of QSOs with ops in the 500-mile range across the southeast - and this was using 15W in less-than-optimal band conditions...

for its cost, with a $20 double-duty mag mount, i consider this antenna a solid '5' - its construction is very good - there are three screw point connections for antenna components...

setup only takes a minute, which is good

i would definitely not use this antenna for traveling down the highway (i swap out a Comet SSB5 and 2M rig on the same mount which is more sane)

for park-portable ops this antenna is a winner - it beats dragging gear out to a picnic bench, unrolling 60ft+ of wire, erecting a portable mast, connection 25' of coax, tuning, etc...

there is a lower-cost 60-inch version of these Taiwan-built antennas, the GRA-RH10M, that may be more appropriate for driving - but i like the taller antenna... it is a much more affordable ATAS-25 type with excellent construction

Powerful Performance Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This antenna is 8ft plus and when on top of my jeep tops out at 14ft, but what a great performer. Fully usable whilst driving with the flexible whip. So far many international contacts with one cqdx call. Very pleased indeed. Easy to tune on all bands, the instructions recommend using a tuner, I do not use one, you just slide the base to the right position and you will get a low swr across the full band. Excellent value with excellent performance.
