Otophone...compromise for portability. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I added a 15 foot length of ladder line. reduces losses, more power delivery and less noise. It's not a dipole, but for POTA it'll do.

Versatile, portable, directional Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Pro: This is a well made, robust product. I have configured it several ways and all work, but the L with vertical element driven seems most directional. Have used with 20 watts to contact across US and to EU.
Con: Needs a user group or more support documentation to optimize. Also, it’s a pain to tune even with a VNA. Tune is effected by height, configuration, and proximity to other objects.

good portable choice Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased the otophone adapter for use with the wolf river coils for a portable dipole. The bracket is machined with excellent quality. The insulator washer on the one arm I will call the hot coil is thick. This device is made for the silver bullet mini's, however I am using the regular size silver bullet coil on each arm with no problem. I also use the extra multiple collar system for quick changing of the bands. I have made contacts with this device on 75, 40, and 20 meters. The current furthest contact is eastern Europe. I use it on an MFJ 1919 EX.

The otophone bracket gave me one problem. The pl-259 connector on my cable was a hard fit into the cable connector, and while trying to pull the cable out of the connector I ripped off my pl-259 connector off my cable. So I purchased a pl-259 to so-239 adapter so it doesn't happen again.

My overall impression is very good and if you are at a campsite or elsewhere, this device works well as an antenna. I did not want to be in any park with ground wires, or counterpoises, or radials all over the ground for someone or some animal to get tangled in.

All reports so far s-7 to s-9.

Excellent product!
