Pretty poor, breaks down easily Time Owned: more than 12 months.
These headphones are intended for instruction, think language class. I'm reviewing them because they show up at sites like ebay from time to time.
I also see the same model still being advertized in QST for use with microphone boom, in the small adverts.

They were interesting for me because I planned to use them for youth-and-technology demonstrations - listening to HF signals goes a lot better with headphones.

Audio quality is not great, but not bad. For a SSB signal they are plentyful; just don't expect a brilliant listening experience listening to music.

The big showstopper, however, is that the plastic join that combines headband and earcup, is very brittle and breaks easily. When disassembled, I was able to snap them with two fingers. No wonder that an enthousiastic child may have one snap on him as well.
In two days I had twelve of my thirty headphones snap like this.

The manufacturer was having none of it and completely declined support. I asked for repair parts and was simply told "no" - could not even buy spareparts!
For something for educational use, which should be robust and last years, this is very disappointing.

The net result is that I think I am pretty polite with my score of 1, it should be a score of zero. Honest!

I've made some replacements from printed circuit board and some screws. Doesn't look original but at least my 30 (!!!) headphones are usable again.

Will I use the Coomber brand for anything ever again? I won't, and the same goes for the educational contacts I have.
