Review Summary For : N3ZN ZN-Lite
Reviews: 2MSRP: 265.00
Description:
The ZN-Lite is an iambic paddle that weighs slightly less than 4 oz (not including plastic base). The aluminum base measures 1.6" x 1.5" x 3/4" thick. The 3/4" thickness allows the paddle to be held in your hand between your thumb and forefingers. Instead of feet, the paddle has an 8-32 threaded blind hole in the bottom for mounting. OTO for this paddle is 9/16"
Product is in production

A precision mini paddle in the N3ZN tradition Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I acquired a N3ZN Lite at the 2022 Orlando Hamfest. I had just built a WA3RNC TR 35 QRP transceiver and the ZN-Lite was the perfect complement for that rig. Let me say that I am a N3ZN devotee. I own a ZN9a, A ZN QRP, A ZN mini and now a ZN Lite. I cut my teeth on lateral keying with a Vibroplex Champion at the end of my Novice year so I tend to slap paddles around. The trend in my acquisitions has been smaller and lighter in the paddle department with the exception of a N2DAN Mercury paddle that was given to me by a complete stranger, No, it wasn't stolen. I need to don my hernia truss to move that one. The ZN Lite needs the lexan base IMHO. It is small, almost delicate but extremely precise. Without that base you would need to hand hold it if you have ever slapped a bug. With the lexan base and appreciation of how light and precise it is I was able to take 2nd place raw score in the 2022 ARRL DX CW contest, 40m SO QRP. Missed first by less than 400 points. No keyboard, no Winkeyer, just the ZN Lite, the TR 35 and my fingers. My log in the past month is 5w in the power column and 95% is the ZN Lite. I am also relearning a Vibroplex Original standard and can't quite figure out why the dits often don't work. You OTs get it. Summary, Very precise light weight short stroke paddle that does 40 wpm no problem. It might do more but I can't.

Great lil' paddle!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just received this key (SN: 003) yesterday and it is yet another nice paddle manufactured by Tony Baleno (N3ZN). I thought the ZN-QRP was small, but this is even smaller, but works VERY well. The ZN-Lite comes with a plastic base which is what I am using.

Keep up the FANTASTIC work Tony!
