Love this charger Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I converted all of my alkaline to NiMH as I got tired of cleaning/replacing anything that uses them. I have been into RC Sailplanes since the 80's. NiCads are out and NiMH batteries are in. I went with the Eneloops as they are highly recommended by most RC Sailplane pilots and have a low shelf discharge rate. . I decided to change everything over here and after I thought about it as after 3 charges they will pay for themselves. Love the charger as it is a no brainer to use and has charge indicators for each cell. If the charge light blinks the cell is bad. I am not certain if it is proprietary to Eneloop batteries as all of my old Energizer batteries used in guitar processor's show bad with this charger as I am sure they are worn out and over 15 years old. That is the reason I went with the NiMH as I have never had to clean a battery compartment or replace a unit using NiMH batteries. Not sure if they do leak as only time will tell. Also they power up the MFJ-259B just fine and anything else I have put them in. I haven't charged the batteries in the MFJ-259B in over a year and they are still indicating OK apon power up even though it does not get a lot of use. Also the wall clocks work just fine with them as well. 73
