Reviews: 2MSRP: US$289.00 shipped Aust $366.00
Description:
The Emtron ES-4 is a transceiver/ antenna switching device that can connect 3 rigs to 5 separate antennas via a touch type button remote desk switch-box The switching unit has the ability to interconnect a 2 KW continuous, 3 KW peak linear amplifier allowing switching between any of the 3 transceivers and any of the 5 antenna outputs 50 ohm grounded when not connected. A nominal 11-15 volt DC input to the remote unit is required. Feedback output to input is minus 115 DB. ALC negative signal back to 3 transceivers via back to back diodes if connected by std RCA connector cables fro 3 inputs. PTT Hot switching protected changing input or out put if PTT is low less than 1 volt.

All in one switching Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This was my answer to what I had been looking for. If you have more then 1 radio and/or more then 1 antenna this is the solution. You can connect 3 radios to 5 different antennas along with 1 amplifier and this will switch between the radio and antenna. I have 2 radios along with 2 different antennas and one amplifier. With a push of a button it selects the radio connects to the amplifier(including PTT and ALC)and then another push of the antenna button to the antenna I want. Great customer support and a quality build piece of equipment.

Excellent quality and ability. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I purchased this unit locally (Australia) via E bay from the Emtron based here in Australia.
Whilst I believe Rudy is no longer producing the excellent Emtron DX series high power amplifiers, one of their technicians is producing the ES-1SP and ES4 antenna switch units.
The ES-4 comes in two units , a switching box with touch type buttons and the main remote unit attached via a supplied telephone type flat cable for connecting to 3 transceivers and 5 antenna's PL-259 connectors.
The unit allows the connection of a 2 KW amplifier (3 KW peak) and allows selection of the amplifier from any of the 3 transceivers to any of the 5 antenna outlets.
ALC connections are provided for optional connection to 3 transceivers using RCA cable/connectors and PTT connection via RCA cable connectors also.
(The input power is limited to 200 watts continuous from any of the 3 transceiver connections to the ES-4 )
The SWR is rated at 1:1.05 1 mhz to 30 mhz.
The control box is a series of touch buttons each linked to a different colored LED and this is reflected back on the main unit with the corresponding colored LED located next to the transceiver inputs and or antenna outputs.
it is also possible to interconnect a SWR Power meter or antenna matching unit between the transceiver / amplifier and antenna outputs as i have done.
The quality of the unit is excellent and the main unit is a metal case with quality PL-259's and fine finish with bracket for attachment to wall or flat surface.
The switch unit is also in a metal case with well indicated LED touch button controls under a protective cover.

I previously used an MFJ 6 Transceiver/antenna switch unit, I was pleased with it however I had to rise from my chair to switch the rigs and antenna's as it was located on the wall at rear of desk for convenient antenna connection.
The Emtron unit allows me to just push a button on the control box right in front of my multi shelved desk with several transceivers on two level.
It works very well and I suspect will handle more power than my previous MFJ switch-box and allows ALC and PTT control to amp from 3 transceivers.
The unit can be seen on Emtron's website www.emtrodv.com/es-4 and the price of US $289 posted or Australian $366.00 posted (currently as of Jan 2020) is very good for the quality and capability of the unit.
I'm very pleased with it, I wanted some advice on interconnecting a Telepost SWR unit and or Match box and sent email to the manufacturer, I was very pleased to receive a prompt and friendly detailed response with invitation to get back to them for any query.
Highly recommended.
