Wow! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I’m into CW, so I can’t have enough keys. I wanted a nicer, single lever paddle that wasn’t so heavy or big that I couldn't travel with it, but big enough that I wouldn’t feel like it was a compromise paddle for longer QSOs or contests. The CT 755MB-L by Yury, UR5CDX fit the bill perfectly.

This wonderful key is small enough for field work but is a real paddle. I ordered directly from his website. Yury was very responsive via emails, and sent it off quickly (after which, of course, we are all at the mercy of the shipping companies - still, it arrived quickly).

The craftmanship is wonderful, and the magnetic tension gives it a very nice feel. It comes with a cable and plug, so it’s ready to use right out of the box. Great! I didn’t even have to adjust the spacing. The packaging is very professional.

As shipped, the key is attached through corrugated cardboard to a square circuit board material plate, using two screws that go through the plate, corrugated cardboard, and into the bottom of the base. This gives you options on how to transport it and use it. For instance, you can pull the key out of the box and fold back the corrugated cardboard, operate it, then fold the corrugations back up around the key and slide it back into the box and go home. Or you can just take the key out of the box and off the plate and cardboard and use it like any other paddle that sits on four rubber feet. For portable ops, I crafted a 6" X 4" black plastic base. It was easy to attach the plastic base to the base of the paddle because the base of the paddle already has the two tapped screw holes that were used to attach the original plate. Great! I found a rectangular Tupperware type container so the 6" X 4" plastic base fits snuggly in the bottom, and put microfiber cloth over the top of the key (under the lid) to keep it in place during transportation. Sometimes things come together nicely.

Last, this key is so beautiful that I have to tell myself that it's not right to just admire and use it at the home QTH, but to use it for portable ops, too. We are lucky to have individuals like Yury who manufacture keys for us. It's February, 2022, and we hope Yury and his family are safe in Ukraine.

Totally AWESOME! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just received my paddle from Yuri which I ordered about a week ago. The paddle was boxed inside of an inner box and very well protected. The craftsmanship is outstanding. I received this in less time than it has taken some things to get to me from the West coast and this came from Ukraine, and with a customized plate! Yuri, excellent craftsmanship, service, and I look forward to doing more business with you in the future.

CT 73 L QRP traveler pddle Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The CT 73 L is made from many of the components used in the heavier CT 755 L. The total weight of the unit, is about .7 KG. with a smaller base, about half the weight of the CT 755L. This is the QRP version of what UR5CDX calls their Traveler QRP key. The key is the precession version of the larger cousin, the CT 755 L and with a smaller base is better designed for QRP operations. I found the key adjustment to be well defined but for my taste, would like to have closer tolerances to the jam nuts for each key contact.

Key contacts are silver and have very good contact conductivity with repeatable contact closure. Return tension is magnetic and as physics would have it, the closer the magnet is to the pull load, the tension becomes exponentially heaver with reduced spacing.

I use the key up to 30 WPM and found the timing and rhythm to be very constant. For operation in desk top operation I use a ceramic tile plate with front footings to keep the key in place. The key is silent with no mechanical sounds. Wiring is for standard right-dahs and left-dits with a nice brass key plug.

The shipping was done through USPS with on-line tracking for the 3-week delivery. Yuri was very quick to provide feedback and the purchase was easy with a normal credit card process. The key is very well packaged with double boxing and the key screwed to a travel PCB board with the attached cabling and phone jack. Shipping and packing are very professional.
Quality, engineering and polish are breath taking. I have been using Bengali keys for many years and at $119 purchase price, I was very presently surprised with the received product and value.

Remember this is a traveler key and is much lighter than the normal product desk top key. Unless you are going to be operating portable, I would recommend buying the CT755 L for base station application at 1.6 kg.
