Great Paddle Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Very easy to adjust. Base is heavy and stays in its place. Tony is an excellent craftsman that takes pride in his product. Quality is what you get with any N3ZN Paddle or Key!

excellent paddle Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have been a CW operator, since 1981. I really enjoy high speed CW a lot. I was looking around the market and Tony's instruments were the most attractive to my eyes. I ordered ZN-9ZX and the whole procedure went fast. Tony is a very nice person and an excellent craftsman. As soon as it arrived, I adjusted to my own preference. it is very easy to adjust. once I adjusted, I didn't even tighten the lock screws. it stayed in place. I like extremely close contact space, and very light touch. I never hat to re-adjust it at all. I was practicing around a little here and there, whenever I have a little time, but I simply love it. I go up to 60 wpm and the sending is absolutely easy with it. Of course, I make mistakes, but the paddle is flawless. I am completely satisfied with my choice of paddle.

N3ZN keys Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
At HamCation this year I decided to get a top of the line paddle for my QRP/travel station. It's a source of great fun and the IC-705 "deserves" a really good paddle set. Gave it a lot of thought, sat at Tony's table and tried several of his models, tried all the other high end ones at other vendors. My "standard of measure" is the Vibroplex paddle at my home station for the past 20 years -- not a bad standard to compare against and I'm used to the feel -- so anything new has a hard time getting my attention. I ordered a ZN-Lite II with custom finger pieces. Didn't take Tony too long to customize the finger pieces, he stayed in touch and e-mailed me a pix of what was coming. IT IS WONDERFUL! Beautiful craftsmanship and smooth feel. No doubt it is the last keyer I will ever buy -- it will last and satisfy me from here on.

Excellent paddle Time Owned: more than 12 months.
After decades of using my Bencher iambic key, I sought a modern replacement. The magnetic technology, plus precision machining led me to Tony Baleno's newer iambic key. With encroaching arthritis (too many birthdays!), I found this key to be so SMOOTH, and easily set-up to my keying needs. It's weight keeps it planted solidly on my desk. About the price???... my "wants" overshadow my absolute "needs"!

Love this paddle! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Being a ham since 1959, and mostly CW, I finally decided to reward myself with a high end paddle. At Dayton 2019, I was back and forth between the Begali and N3ZN booths comparing the various paddles. Both are excellent quality but I liked the "feel" of this paddle a little more--and realize this is a personal and subjective comment. I was also swayed by N3ZN's excellent e mail communications and the fact that he is a USA based small business----and a fellow Pitt grad!
This key is a pleasure to use and the adjustments are very precise allowing easy close space operation. The option for a no charge custom call letter plate makes the paddle a good looking great addition to the shack.

Quality makes a difference Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I thought twice about spending $335 on a paddle, but boy am I happy I did. I send at around 25 WPM. The keying action and the adjustment screws are great. I had been using an electronic touch paddle but near-field radiation from my antennas, especially on 80m, was interfering with it. I value a light touch. This paddle feels so good to use that I enjoy sending CQs even if no one responds! I bought the ZX instead of the Z model because I wanted something I could be sure would be solid on my desk. At just a hair under 3 pounds, the ZX is a quarter-pound heavier than the Z and the base is about about 8 percent larger by surface area. And the ZX is indeed immovable. I bought a sticky desktop pad (from DX Engineering) to help hold the key in place, but quickly found that it was unnecessary.
