Perfect for my needs. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Purchased new from DXE, this is a nice piece of equipment! Compact, quiet, and once I got it set up it's been smooth sailing. I did have 1 question and emailed ACOM. I had a reply back within an hour explaining what I wanted to know. Interfaces with my Flex for automatic band tracking so it's ready to go instantly whenever I change bands. Multi speed fans keep it cool and are unobtrusive. I do not have 220 readily available (yet) but it's humming along on 120 with no problem.

One year no issues, follows radio. Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Sits on the desk, quiet as a kitten. follows my Yaesu around like a puppy following mom-ma dog.
I tried it on 120V and 240V I see no different.
Clicks along 650 to 700 .

Fine PA Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Almost two years in use without problems. I praise great protections.
But perhaps it is good to know that the internal design does not allow easy access to measurement and replacement LDMOS.
I have good experience with remote control software from SM7IUN and M0YOM.

Into the 2nd major fault Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I purchased the 700s in February 2021 and in April it developed a fault which required returning to Acom when the Mosfet was changed. I was without the amp for 8 weeks.
Now in October 2021 the 700s has developed another problem where it goes to Standby from Operate on PTT/Key down on EVERY 2nd transmission. I.e. The first transmission is OK but the next ptt/key down creates an error. This is into a dummy load. The amp has now been with my UK dealers where neither the engineer nor Acom can figure out what is wrong. The fault is easily reproducible so should be solvable by any competent engineer. So. I have owned the 700s for 8 months and have had 5 months of use from it. Not at all happy.

Very Nice Amplifier Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Purchased the Acom 700s because I currently only have access to 120 volts in my shack. I have had nothing but solid performance from this amplifier. About 13 watts in and 700 watts out on most bands. Interface follows my rig and changes bands as the rig changes. Very simple operation and ease of use, just what I was looking for. So far, I'm very satisfied with this amplifier.

Failure like the 600S was,Plagued with issues Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
First 700s replaced by DX Engineering. Replacement unit better but new issues. Amp trips at 350 watts on 10 meters. Read elsewhere reviews of this same problem and I assumed it was RF issue. Now several months later issue is getting worse and problem appearing on 15 meters. Contacted Val at Acom. Repeated emails exchanged with readings he requested ,but ended up as a total waste of time. A long warranty is only good if the company supports the item, Acom did not. The 700s is following the troublesome path as its previous 600s model. Check out Palstar or Mercury for solid state amp, RUN from Acom.

Reliable, easy to operate Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Purchased the 700S with the matching AT04 antenna switch/tuner which I placed outdoors. Puts out a solid 700 watts key down and just loafs along at 500 watts or so. The built-in fault protection circuits work well and give direct advice when the operator goofs up on something. Menu is easy to figure out, check several sources on YouTube for various settings required on the rig end of setup. I'm using this on a Yaesu FTdx-101D and couldn't be happier with a solid-state amp.

Not good Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I purchased the Acom 700S in March of 2021 new from DX Engineering. This Amplifier is located at our Florida home where we only reside part time. I have not used the Amplifier much since I received it in Late March. Maybe 1 hour of transmit time. On July 28 I attempted to turn the amplifier on just to use the watt meter on it. I had to push the front power button several times to get the display to come on and the trouble tone was on. I observed a “PAM HV TOO HIGH” message in the fault display. The next day, per the instruction manual, I contacted DX Engineering to get instruction on how to deal with this issue. I was advised that the amplifier tech would call me back before the end of the day. This did not occur. I called DX Engineering back the next day, Friday. I was given the name and contact for The Acom rep. I called the rep and explained what was going on. He advised that he would reach out to ACOM AND FIND OUT WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. As of today I have heard nothing. I did some checking on line and read of several issues with Acom S series amplifiers having defective “PA Boards” and that it was taking 4 months or more to get the defective boards replaced. Very disappointed. I purchased this amplifier based on what I felt was a good reputation, but apparently did not dig deep enough. Also disappointed in the tech support provided by DX Engineering.

Bullet Proof Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I primarily purchased the 700S for 6M use.
My end fed slopers won't handle more than 200W PEP, so may upgrade the HF antennas this summer.

The 700S not only performs super, it's quite attractive.

So far I've run it up to about 600-650W out without issue. Driving it with my IC 7300, I have seen a few "How Switch" warnings where the Acom will go into standby mode even though I use a 20ms delay and careful ALC control. Seems to be a well protected amp.

On 6M it performs admirably, loafing along at 650W.
I run off 120V house current w/o issue.

I mostly work meteor scatter and FT8 on 6.
Because of this, I will say the fan is a tad loud making FT8 weak sigs difficult to hear; not really a negative as one either decodes or not.

Was looking at the TE Systems amp with no front end protection. TE amp also requires a hefty PS; that was enough to make me get the Acom.

My highest SWR hovers at 1.7 depending which way I am pointing my 6M LFA. The Acom does not seem to object at all.
