SSB and Sats Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
A simple, well designed antenna that goes together easily, clear instructions, excellent fit and finish. It works well for 2M SSB and is horiz polarity on horizon, circular overhead for FM sats. For terrestial SSB, advised to leave off counterpoise, but can't tell much difference. This antenna would appear to have similar performance as a single 2M HO Loop, but ability to work Sats as well. N connector.

great for the leo birds Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
have had the 144/ 432 up for 6 mo, they are great for satt, and ssb work.i bought them to see if i was interested in working the birds, and they did in fine style.i also have the radial kit for both..i like satt work so much, thanx to the egg-beaters,that i am going to take the beaters down, and put up a big beam set-up!! so i am selling the egg-beaters down and selling the whole package for 200.oo,,i also have 2 80 foot runs of L.M.R.400 for a few more dollars if interested..thanx and 73s, jim n3zjb 410-288-3416

Best for LEO Birds Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I have both the EB-144 and EB-432 Eggbeaters with Radial Kits. Performance for UO-14 and other LEO satellites is excellent. I use a mast-mounted preamp with the EB-432 for downlinks. These antennas have also been pressed into terrestrial 2M/70CM service and have replaced a Comet vertical for day-to-day use. Extremely good construction. The only difficulty was straightening out the loop wires which are folded in half for shipping. Well worth the cost!
