Excellent for a quick and dirty setup Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought one of these, intending to make a more permanent setup out of it, but weather and time shortage intervened and I ended up lobbing it over a tree and fed it from a window. I also atttached some Clansman radials to the feed point, just for 'why not'.
In spite of it being a heavily distorted Z with partial vertical component, it got out ok and I wasn't having much trouble being heard.
Still got it, and intend to install it better next year.

Superb piece of kit Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I was hunting for something multi-band when I came across this antenna which, on paper, looked like it would fit my needs.
Well I wasn’t disappointed, both the quality of the workmanship and the functionality of the antenna impressed the bejesus out of me and my opinion hasn’t changed over 12 months later.
The quality of the build components stands out as does the overall workmanship.
I have access to a communal garden so am slightly limited however with the help of a 10m fibreglass pole and some strategically positioned trees it took me about an hour to erect and get it on the air.
Have run it on both my K3 and FT-1000 mk5 and neither have required use of their ATU.
The base is about 5m (8m asl) above ground level with the wire extending a further 10m vertical then horizontal through some trees levelling out in a short dog-leg roughly about 14m asl, my house is 6m asl and about 10m from the shore.
It’s rated at 400w but I haven’t exceeded that power level yet rather I keep my power levels between 200-300w.
I’ve had a variety of endfed, ocfd, wire antennas etc but should the worst happen I will call on Ian’s expertise once again to replace it with the same.
Currently £83 gbp seems a bit hefty for a wire antenna but, as they say, you get what you pay for and imho this is worth every penny!

Very Impressed !! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I bought this antenna last year (2022) and have only just got round to putting it up – The antenna is constructed very well using quality parts – Performance wise it presents a very good SWR across all bands (80m/40m/20m/15 &10m) without having to use a tuner.

The only thing that would make this antenna better would be to substitute the existing antenna wire with something that is slightly less weighty !! – something like the Kevlar wire used by the likes of G-Whip.

Surprisingly good... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought one of these to use portable as I liked the no earth requirement. Slung it up in the garden in a inverted V using my Spiderbeam HD12 mast just to test and tune. Now I live in the middle of a housing estate and I'm surrounded by a fog of RF interference. I didn't have high expectations of this antenna on RX. However the noise floor was remarkably low compared with my dipole (tuned for 60m). I mainly shortwave listen at home and I was so impressed with this antenna that I fitted it permenantly as my base antenna. Performance wise it really does the business and I get good signal reports on 40 and 20m. I haven't used it on 15 or 10 as of yet. I have now bought a second with the 80m coil to use portable and again, even slung out a few feet above the ground in a field it does work well. I've now ordered another 80m coil from Ian to make my base one cover 80. All in all, for what it is, it does work well and the build quality is first class. I also like the fact you can hide it so very covert.

I have the 40 / 10 meter Version Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Very happy with the antenna…. Build quality is excellent… .Works very very well on 40/20/15 and 10 Meter's….. With a combination of an internal and external manual ATU I can squeeze a few extra bands (30/17/12/6 and 4 Meter's)
at my QTH….your QTH may be different )…..My antenna is configured as an inverted L… (as I only have a small garden ) I was so impressed I also bought the 80 Meter conversion kit.

Excellent product and value Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
MULTI-BAND/ HALF-WAVE 49:1 MATCHING TRANSFORMER. An excellent product at a competitive price! I added approximately 40 m of wire and carefully adjusted its length with my antenna analyzer to a very low swr value on all bands 80-10m. I use it at my remote station on one of the Baltic islands where it is perfect for listening and transmitting without the need of a remotely operated tuner. My only wish is that there would be a high power version allowing for more than 100 W CW. Good job Ian!
