Solved My Pet Fence Interference Problem! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
For over two years, I have suffered from hash like interference Across the 20 meter band created by my next door neighbor’s Invisible Fence electronic pet fence. I wasn’t sure what was causing the constant putt-putt noise until one day a few weeks ago when it suddenly ended.

It was incredible, I could actually work the 20 meter CW band! It came back on a week later and I decided to reach out to my neighbor in a diplomatic way to inquire whether she had turned on some appliance in her house. She said she had turned her Invisible Fence back on after doing some landscaping.

I explained my problem and asked if I could see her unit. While examining it, and with her permission, I installed several snap on ferrites on the cheap switching-type wall wart power supply and on the twisted wires that led to the underground loop antenna around her property.

That solved about 75% of my problem, but after researching some forums where other hams indicated similar interference problems, I read that a leading invisible fence manufacturer recommended the Corcom 10VK6 filter.

Several suppliers online offer this product, so I ordered one. It arrived a few days later and my neighbor indicated I could install it. It was simple, took only a few minutes since it goes in series between the fence transmitter unit and the twisted wire feedline.

Once back in my shack, I was delighted to see that the last vestiges of the noise were now completely gone. I am elated. This filter does the trick for those suffering from invisible pet fence noise.
