I have reviewed my Kent twin paddle key elsewhere on here, and I came to the conclusion that the plastic paddles afforded an overly spongey feel to what is otherwise a key that (if the user is honest) can stand comparison with very much more expensive keys. I must have followed a manufacturer's link on eHam to BaMaTech and noticed these finger pieces for Kent keys, a light went on inside and I purchased a pair immediately.

The finger paddles arrived today, and immediately installed I can confirm perfect fit, form and function. They have a machined bevel around the profile for comfort and are finished with what appears to be a burgundy coloured hard chromic anodising treatment.

The paddles have confirmed my suspicion regarding Kent's plastic versions. I note that my Kent key (which dates from the mid 1980s) is the earlier version, and a later type has longer brass arms- presumably to support the flexible plastic paddles? The BaMaTech paddles are a far more sensible solution. It is odd that it took a Begali key for the penny to drop here. Still, I now have two awesome keys!

Markus is a great guy to deal with- a very efficient transaction, and if you have a more recent version of the key he has you covered there too. I heartily recommend these paddles if you have a Kent key, they are a massive upgrade at minimal outlay, and you get a free bag of jelly sweeties too!

I can't think of a scenario in which I would ever need to purchase them again, but I would if one arose.
