Way ahead of Chinese receivers Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
As said before this receiver is tiny but very heavy and well made.
For such a small receiver, ergonomics are good.
Sensitivity is very good and the control of sensitivity is a bonus.
Even on a large antenna, I had no problem with overloading.
Where this receiver is way better than Chinese radios is the handling of AGC, with a quick attack and no distortion, and the quality of audio is large, smooth with good fidelity.
About CW, the sound is pure, with no chirping.
The digital display gives the CW true frequency, i.e. is correct at zero beat, so, if you listen with a 500 Hz tone, as the receiver use CWU, you have to be 500 Hz down in frequency to hear the CW signal with a 500 Hz pitch.
A really great receiver, shipped very quickly by Boris in a nice package.

Nice RX with plenty of features!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have had this receiver a short time, but it has already has proven to be a big hit! It is tiny - about the size of the average cell phone but has plenty of nice features. It receives all modes (CW, LSB, USB, AM and FM)m covers 1.5 ~30MHz and the built in battery life is proving to be good. Audio can be set up to 4Khz and AM and SSB sound very rich via headphones. It has variable tuning steps down to 10Hz and the CW pitch can be set 500Hz to 1KHz. I'm a bit confused that the CW frequency seems to be off by 500Hz. For example when listening to W1AW on 20 meters, the dial reads 14.047.00 instead of 14.047.50? Perhaps that has something to do with the offset needed to hear the signal? Maybe someone can explain.
Anyway, this little gem of a receiver is a real winner and I believe will be a big hit. Boris is very friendly and helpful. Shipping from Europe to my Texas QTH was a quick one week to the day (shipping is via FedEx)! Have fun with the Belka DX!
