This antenna is extremely well made and labeled for easy assembly. The instructions consist of a single exploded mechanical drawing that a grade school student could follow.

At about 1/2 pound and end mounted on the mast, it can be turned with the lightest TV antenna rotator. Mine is mounted about at barely thirty feet.

I haven't modeled it with software but the manufacturer claims about 9 dbi or almost 7 dbd gain. If true, that's about the same as two 70cm loops stacked.

Initial performance had me making routine contacts within a 150 mile radius without any tropo ducting. There has been no noticeable band openings so I can't comment on that aspect of it's performance.

I use a Mirage D3010G set to output 85 watts. With a 100 watt rating, I didn't want to melt the gamma match.

I have the antenna mounted horizontally and tuned with a perfect 1.1:1 VSWR at 432.100 MHz. For the review's sake, I checked it in the repeater portion and it still had a 1.2 / 1.3:1 match even with the wrong polarization.

One caveat: Although the antenna is marketed to perform both vertically and horizontally polarized, the U-bolt slots at the back of the boom are drilled for vertical mounting. After five minutes with a portable drill, that situation was easily remedied.
