Effective reduced size 160M suburban antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had this coil loaded 70' sloper that is resonant on 160M, on and off the 55' tower now three times, as I experimented with other 160M wire antennas through the past couple years. This is the final time, as this sloper is staying put, as it is a nice low SWR match at resonance, and rest of band is easily tuned with my tuner, and I only need room to fit 70' of wire. We'll see if it can take me to DXCC on 160M. Stan has been building and refining these for a number of years, and I can simply say it just works well for a compromize to get on 160M, and load up QRO.
