Too good to be true...!!! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Hello ham friends,
It took many years to me, always a Quad man, (mostly K2OB-K3BB, John Koszeghy designs) to finally find this absolute beast Yagi design by Enzo IK1DYS (founder and former owner of Ultra Beam) who I own deep respect as I do with John, K2OB.
Dynamic antennas are by definition very accurate monobanders, this fact gets enhanced in this case by the implementation of a dual driven element system, thus providing optimal spacing on 10-12-15 meters as a 6 element, and a very convenient spacing on the 17-20 meter bands as a 4 element, all that on a 11.3 meter / 37.07 ft. long boom.
The engineering and mechanical design is very solid and probably oversized compared to competitors but to me is just a nice peace of mind.
Inside the EHU's you can admire the different approach were nothing is left to gamble, compared with on the edge of mechanical resistance and aging of designs found in other brands.
If you want to have a dynamic moderate sized antenna far beyond your wildest dreams, this is it.
If you want to add 40 meters to it go to the gigantic 10-40DX.

Caro Enzo, IK1DYS, my hat goes off for you.
Too bad you retired, your designs will be missed.
Cheers
