Good news and bad news Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Purchased this kit for Field Day use, to replace my Harbor Freight 100W solar power kit. The Harbor Freight set worked well, but only works with lead acid battery chemistry. Upgrading to LiFePO4 battery required a new setup. So while I was at it, I decided to look at something lighter and easier to transport.

The good news is, that the 120w solar panel performs to spec. Folds up for easy transport, and it's VERY light weight. Very pleased with the solar panel.

The charge controller, on the other hand is not suitable for use with amateur radio gear. It will charge your battery just fine. But the amount of RF noise this charge controller puts out renders all the HF bands unusable. The noise is so strong, that it obliterated the signal from a 50KW clear channel AM broadcast station at a distance of 10 miles. This is a station that I usually pick up at S9+40dB.

If you purchase this kit, be prepared to buy a different charge controller to work with it. I replaced the included charge controller with a Bioenno SC-122420JUD controller. This charge controller is totally RF quiet, and I'm quite happy with it. And it was only $49.99.
