QA Needed Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The early first two radios I got work fine and I have not had any issue with them. The latest ones have had a major failure in the RX side. So have returned one and waiting to hear back on the other one. I think they may have a poor run of chips fst3253 as this appears to be the failed component. I had one fail by just connecting to a dipole and the other failed just doing some testing into a dummy load. The folks selling the radios need to do a better job with QA before they go out the door. See my message to one seller below:

“Tested out this new radio and tx is fine but while testing into a dummy load getting about half way thru the bands the RX started to make a rushing pulsing noise. After I tested all bands for TX I connected and external antenna and I get no RX signals. I have paid for 4 of these radios the first one was labeled just “uSDX” and it has been working fine. The second one was labeled “uSDR SDR Transceiver” and it also is working fine the first one I have had for about 2 months the second one for about a month and no issues. The third one was labeled “uSDX HF Transceiver” and this one I got from you is labeled the same both this one and the other one have the same problem. I just sent that one back for a refund. The stated problem was a bad fst3253 chip and is a SMD so not something that’s field replaceable. Looks like this current model has issues as the last two have failed for what looks to be the same problem.”
