Mismarked Ports and Sloppy Construction Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I noticed, with my antenna analyzer, that my tuned antennas did not work with the new duplexer. I decided to reverse the ports to the antennas and that worked. Peeking inside, I confirmed what I suspected. The duplexer was flipped around in the plastic housing. Someone corrected the issue with the short N connecters by removing the nuts and securing it to the bottom aluminum plate with two right angle brackets to the duplexer body. That works, but the markings are now reversed. The rework was rather sloppy and I still needed to correct that myself. I need to also mark the ports with my own labels. This should not be necessary.

Works OK but MFJ could do better with the mech. implimentation. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Works good. Weatherproof casing a bit clunky but does the job. I've only found one problem with this product, ... inside there is simply a MFJ-916B duplexer the two ports to which just protrude out the bottom of the weather casing and have nuts screwed on the SO-239's to hold it in place. The problem is the nuts make the threaded portion of the SO-239's too short for a PL-259 to tighten properly. The PL-259's threaded sleeve tightens against the nut before tightening up the connector. Fix? The only one I could come up with was to remove the nuts and let the MFJ-916B inside just dangle. This allows the two PL-259's to tighten properly. It does leave the MFJ-916B inside a bit loose but I don't think that hurts anything.
