Black Faced MFJ-941E Works For Me! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have used the MFJ-941E Versa Tuner II for about four years (Black Faced Model). It has been used with a multiband vertical and is currently balancing a G54RV Inverted V Dipole (80 - 10 meters). The service has been dependable and accuracy is regularly verified using 100 watts or less on a Yaesu FT-757GX transceiver. The tuner balances across most of the spectrum at 1.1 to 1.3, with a couple of 1.6 spikes. The meter would be easier to calibrate if larger, but considering the inexpensive cost, the unit has performed well. Regards, Robert (N1EAR)

OK - but have your tools ready! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just bought a new 941-E. Started using it and found that there was a loud scraping sound when turning the Transmitter capacitor, and it would jam in one direction once per revolution. And it woudn't load a 60' Zepp on 17 and 12 (but 40-10 otherwise worked great.) Opened it up and found half a dozen bent plates on the variable C. No way it happened in shipping - just poor quality that never should have left the factory. So, as with most of the other stuff that comes from these guys, if you buy their products make sure you've got some basic tools so you can finish the job they start! Also- bought the W9INN balun from them too - the screws holding the feedthroughs were totally loose. Now that these things are repaired, things are working well. Caveat emptor... de W8GN

A good value Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I had purchased this tuner for use while traveling out of the country and as a companion to my Icom 706. The tuner has met my needs quite well at 100 watts as long as I did not try to load an antenna with a really extreme mismatch to 50 ohms. The SWR meter is a little on the cheap side and sticks at times -- but I can't complain too much since the price is very reasonable for this quality. MFJ was kind enough to send me a replacement meter at no charge for the asking...

Works for me Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had this tuner several years, and have been very happy with it. I have used it to tune inverted-V and dipoles, as well as "L"s and random wire. The antenna switch is very positive and very handy--2 coaxes, either through the tuner or direct, as well as balanced or random wire. The built in dummy load helps occasionally--like figuring out where to set the mic gain on a new rig before splattering.

Very well designed tuner.

Great tuner! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have the older (black face) model of this tuner. I bought it used from AES several years ago.
It has been camping and to 4 field days with me. It has allowed me to operate using window screens, long (and short!) wires, and many metal objects not intended to radiate RF. It also works on my 6m dipole to let me run FM simplex (the antenna is cut for 50.125 Mhz).
No problems other than replacing 2 loose rivets on the antenna connectors with small bolts.

Great value Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This tuner has been a great asset to my shack for my TS-520S as well as my QRP rigs. It's versatility and simplicity combine to make a good overall tuner/power meter. I didn't think the lighted meter would really be of much use either, but as my eyesight dims with age the light makes a big difference.
