| Description: The AX2 is an ultraportable, two-piece telescoping whip antenna for 20 meters. It is targeted at pedestrian mobile, "stealth," emergency, and backpacking applications. An ATU (automatic antenna tuner) is strongly recommended for use with the AX2. This will compensate for variations in radial length, terrain, and body capacitance. An ATU can also match the AX2 on 17 meters in most cases. Any of Elecraft's ATUs can be used, including the T1 as well as the internal ATUs in the KX2 and KX3.
