Review Summary For : Blue DSP by IW2NDH
Reviews: 1MSRP: 75 Euro
Description:
The IW2NDH Blue DSP is sold as a circuit board ready to install into a box or speaker of your choice. It is a complete system with little soldering required on the board itself. It does require soldering jumpers for audio input/output jacks and jumpers if an OLED in also connected. It has a mini-USB connector for power or you can solder power leads up to 12V from another source. When mounting, access to the on/off switch is required if you plan to use it. External power could be switched externally. Access to the two momentary switches is required to set the various options. There are 4 levels of noise reduction and filter options of 650-750 CW, 550-850 CW, 300-1800 SSB, 300-2100 SSB, 300-2400 SSB. Auto-notch is automatic, voice operated squelch is switchable. The output of the filter does NOT require amplification. It can be connected to headphones or loudspeaker (impedance between 4 and 32 Ohm)
Product is in production

Nice addition to remove audio noise from any rig Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I mainly use my Icom IC-761 on sideband and always wished it had noise reduction and a better filtering like my Yaesu FT-950. This unit does everything it promises. I am highly satisfied. It even has an auto notch filter. It is not totally plug and play since it does require building an enclosure and connecting an OLED if desired. But DYI is part of the allure. My brother even bought one to use on his new FTDX-10 and thinks it was worthwhile.
Luca IW2NDH and Mike W0MNE have provided excellent support.
