Works Real GOOD! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Brough a Palomar 155' kit from HRO and its works Great on 10-160m SWR very very low 80-10 no tuner need on 160m use my Plaster AT-Auto 3.5 SWR to Flat 1 to 1 after correction, this antenna has a Great signal to noise ratio for pulling out distant DX on most all bands, Palomar Eng need to advertise how well this antenna works, because it DOES! Very very HAPPY CAMPER with this long wire antenna, for sure!.............73s..........kb6hrt.......Walter

Great random wire antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
New to ham radio. I bought the 71ft Palomar Random Wire antenna. I pretty much did everything wrong installing it. Not very high. Starts at 15ft then maybe to 20ft high, in between 2 houses on a postage stamp side yard. But I did follow their instructions to a "T" for coax length and choke placement. First thing thing I noticed was the vastly improved reception. After just listening for a week I decided to finally key the microphone. My tuner a mAT-Y200 handled all bands except 160m with no problems. But there again it was not advertised to do 160m.Made 11 contacts in 7 states doing POTA. Made it through the pile-ups without much problem. I will be moving soon and can hardly wait to do a proper install and add some length to the wire. I would definitely buy again and the craftmanship is outstanding. They are not Amazon as you will not get your order in 2 days, but their products are well worth the wait.

Exceeded all my expectations! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I purchased the 71' End-Fed antenna as a means of getting on the air in an HOA. Using an arborist's throw line, I strung it in a tree in my back yard. From the feed point at the base of the tree, there is a vertical section of 25-30 feet, then it slopes down for the remainder of the length. The end is tied to a wooden fence, roughly 5 feet above the ground.

I'm running 100 watts through an LDG AT-100 ProII tuner. In the timeframe around the CQWW CW contest, I worked much of Europe, SA, and have contacts in Asia, OC, across Africa and scored several ATNO's, like Mauritius. Finished up the last 20 QSO's needed for my first DXCC Award. Happy Ham!

Exceeded my expectations Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I had been looking for an end fed antenna and researched both end fed half waves and random lengths. I happened to look at a Power Point presentation on end fed antennas which can be found on the Palomar Engineering website. My requirements were: 80-10 meter coverage including WARC bands, easy deployment, and 500 watt capability. The Palomar Bullet 9:1 end fed random length antenna fit this criteria.
There are many choices of wire lengths and recommended coax lengths. I chose the 102 ft version with a recommended coax choke placed at 44 feet. Installation involved a couple of wire ties to a hook under the eave of my house (around 10 feet high) to a tree (50 feet high). Coax was RG8X. No adjustment of wire length was required and construction is high quality. Initial SWR readings were disappointing but the instructions recommended counterpoise lengths ranging from 12 feet to 32 feet. After trial and error at various lengths, I ended up using a 32 foot counterpoise resulting in SWR readings of less than 3:1 on all bands and less than 2:1 on some bands easily tuned with my Icom 7300 tuner. Performance exceeded all my expectations. Good reports on all domestic and dx contacts with 100 watts on all bands on SSB, CW and FT8. The antenna hears well due to its length, and I am seeing Australia, Korea, China and Japan on my FT8 screen which I've never seen before with my dipole from my home in New York. I even worked Japan and Israel running 30 watts on digital. This product is a good value at its price point. Ease of installation and excellent performance make this antenna a winner.
