OK small short-wave receiver Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just got the ATS-20+. Don't know what the + denotes but the radio works OK. The AGC is not good as signal pump. It drifts from startup and the manual is not very good either. That said, it does receive and the BW action is quite acceptable. For the price, $53 delivered, its not a bad deal. Wish it were a bit larger as the ergonomics are challenging..... Buy again? I think so.

Not bad at all for the $$$ Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought this receiver based on some decent reviews with the intent--if it worked--of using it just to listen to a variety of radio services when working in my shop or if camping in the back of my pickup truck while on road trips.

It works surprisingly well. Even without the supplied telescoping antenna I can pick up local AM and FM stations. The audio quality from the built in speaker isn't bad either. On 20 meters with the supplied antenna I could hear some stateside stations on 20 USB.

Just for the heck of it I brought it into the shack and connected it to my HF vertical. Lo and behold the first station I came across on 20 M was EA3JE in Spain. Granted, Lou usually has a huge signal into the west coast but I was surprised at the apparent signal strength (which I would "estimate" at 5-9 on this radio which has no S meter).

I paid $49 and was willing to risk it being worthless. However, thus far it will serve my stated purposes quite nicely.
