No proximity effect, speech optimal, great plosive rejection Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have a heavy low and low-mid component to my voice that I have to work hard to clean up for radio.

This mic is a speech optimized response with about zero proximity effect so there isn't any overloading if you aren't careful with distance to the element.

The mic is an omnidirectional pattern so it has a very forgiving bubble to work in. You don't have to be very disciplined about being right on-center. You can work this mic out to 5" or so away right up to the screen.

It has a very natural room sound to it as well thanks to the omni pattern.

It has about the same output level as an SM-57 so not too terrible but a pre-amp would help it.

Plosive filtering is the best of the whole pile of mics I have here. It's the only mic I have that doesn't need a foam windscreen on it.

Frequency response I would say is mid-forward and required fairly light tweaking compared to many others I have.

This mic is tied with the SM-57 (with windscreen) for my voice and I recommend it for anyone with a bass heavy voice.

I'm surprised there weren't already reviews for this mic.
