Very good antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Fritzel FB-23 is an excellent 2 el. tribander with very good reputation especially amongst european hams.
I saw many of them on roofs in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, etc. Superior quality, built to last and is made of high quality robust thick aluminum. Easy to mount by myself. I rotate it with single TV rotator and works fine. Before this I use Mosley TA-32 MINI, which have around 0.5m shorter boom and it weights double less. They are about the same in both RX and TX.
Fritzel FB-23 also receives well on CB 11m band, but swr was beyond 5.0 in my case.
My setup: 5m of the ground, 40m of Draka MRC 400 cable:
Swr results: (without tuner)
20m 1:1.2
15m 1:1.3
10m 1.1.3
17m over 4.0

I would call FB-23 an european version of TA-32 MINI. It was very popular antenna in Germany in 70s, 80s and 90s and also in other european countries. Even today after 40+ years is still in use. There are many used on german market ranging from 150-300€ depending on stage. If too old usually traps need to be cleaned if antenna has been outside for many years. Regarding cleaning in detail there is online good pdf article issued by ON5JV.
Reccomended.

Ultra solid and durable two element Tribander Time Owned: more than 12 months.
For this antenna everything counts what I have already written at 2022-08-27 for the big three elements brother Fritzel FB 33. The only difference is that this is a two element tribander with a little less gain and f/b ratio. All other electrical and mechanical characteristics are identical to the FB 33. The quality of workmanship is top notch as usual. My FB 23 is more than 25 years old and it performs for some time now at my second QTH on a 30 ft tower very well. I'm realy happy with it.

If you get a used Fritzel trap antenna - no matter what model, it makes sense to check the traps before installation. PA0FRI has described this exactly on his website. If necessary, a riveted joint in the traps should be replaced with a solid stainless steel screw/nut connection (not all traps have rivets in them). With an ohmmeter you can check this without opening the traps. A proper electrical interconnection without resistance should be present. The caps of the traps can be removed or replaced with a hot air gun (not to hot, be very careful!) or boiling water. Spare parts are still available at Hofi.de.
