Review Summary For : DX Commander Rapide
Reviews: 4MSRP: 179bp
Description:
Based on exactly the same principles as the All Band Classic, this version – the Rapide, based on the 7m telescopic DXC pole (physical length of circa 6.8m) delivers exactly the same result with pure quarter wave elements: 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m and 10m (with 6m band delivered by the 30m element as a 1 1/4 wavelength element). In testing, we achieved perfect matches for all bands and a fabulous pattern for DX. See Unified user guide here: https://www.m0mcx.co.uk/dx-commander-user-guides/

A fantastic antenna for the price Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Since purchasing the Rapide from DX Engineering five months ago, I've logged over 1800 QSOs, including 50 unique DX entities—with one as far away as 7700 miles from home. For an antenna that costs only $300 dollars, its performance is fantastic.

My setup is very basic: power supply, ICOM 7300, 50' of generic coax, and the DX Commander Rapide. Given the simplicity of things, I'm quite pleased with the results.

Small foot print long reach Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Great product, my first vertical HF after ~20 years of operating on HF.

Works great in a postage stamp sized back yard. Takes about 10 minutes to setup every weekend. No ATU needed on 30, 20, 17, 15. I'm still experimenting with the 12 and 10 driven elements where I use the ATU to take the edge off.

An excellent antenna with great results Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This antenna has was easy to assemble and was delivered FAST using it I have worked the world with my FT 710 and 50-70 watts I used it on 10 meter AM and Worked Callum using 25 watts ! I would recommend it to all. You can choose what bands you want to use on it, with my set up I even have 6 meters! It doesn’t take up much room and the radials are easy to assemble and lay out, it’s a buy I would or rather will do again it’s quality materials and fun to put up follow the instructions and boom your on the air with great reports!

DX Commander should be 1st antenna. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
So I just tuned the antenna, got it good enough and then heard a pile up on 17m. No idea if I'd make it through but I gave my call and boom! South Africa from Texas, busted the legal limit guys with 100 watts! I'm a believer. Don't hesitate, save your money and buy a dx commander product. I'm loyal for life Callum!

Additionally, there are numerous videos on the build of this antenna. It is currently sold out, but do yourself a favor and please check out his other wares. I have a classic in my future. This antenna is great for newbies to the hobby because you learn about antennas and signals and all sorts of stuff and there is pride in accomplishment. I'm not paid, I bought this antenna with my money. I just think it's fantastic. I have a comet 250b, random wire antenna, and an EFHW with dx10 wire. The Rapide is my best antenna and light years (many fars due to dB gain) beyond the vertical 250b...
