Review Summary For : Jackson Harbor Press KeyAll HV+
Reviews: 1MSRP: $18
Description:
The Keyall HV+ kit allows the owner of a keyer or exciter with a low voltage solid state keying circuit to switch the higher voltage keying (T/R) circuits typical of vacuum tube transmitters, and transceivers or amplifiers of yesteryear. This unit will key negative voltage rigs (grid block keying) or positive voltage rigs (cathode keyed tube transmitters). This kit's output transistors are rated at 1000 V and 3.1 A (3100 mA). It is similar to the older KeyAll HV design, but with the addition of an onboard full-wave rectifier and 3.3VDC regulator to provide power to its circuitry from a suitable low voltage AC source (such as a filament transfomer winding).

Well designed and adaptable circuit Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This kit has a high-quality circuit board and assembled easily in less than an hour. My application is in a Heathkit SB-200 amplifier. I chose to add a small filament transformer (Triad F-112X) into the amp to provide AC power to the full-wave onboard rectifier in the KeyAll HV+. This circuit easily handles the -120VDC keying circuit of the SB-200, making the vintage amp compatible with modern solid state exciters.
