Good for SSB Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I don't notice any improvement in sound between the SP-30 and the internal speaker for CW. Maybe it's improved a little because the sound is forward-facing with the SP-30.
For SSB I find the audio to be richer with the SP-30.
You can hear the difference (or lack of difference) in this video:

Matches the DX10, sounds like most other small comms speakers Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
First, this listing is incorrect. The speaker shown is the SP-101 not the SP-30, and the SP-30 is indeed still in production. The 30 is smaller and has a flip down bail stand like the radio does, not big rubber feet. The SP-101 is meant to match the FTDX101D. The SP-101 is also in production, it's just out of stock at some places.

I bought the SP-30 at the same time as my FTDX10 a little over 2 months ago. It sounds okay but nothing to rave over. It has the typical hollow, tinny sound of a small speaker in a long metal cabinet. A week or so ago I added the Phonema PHITS acoustic foam kit which helped with the hollow sound but makes it sound blander and thinner. I don't know how to describe it. It basically absorbed all sound from inside the cabinet leaving only what's coming from the 3 inch speaker which I guess is what the PHITS foam is supposed to do. I've decided to go back to using my old 4 inch SP-20 which I lined with a scrap of thin PE foam packing material. A larger speaker works better as there's more speaker cone to reproduce sounds. I used to use the SP-20 with my FT-891 in the shack and had no problem with the audio quality or being able to understand people. The SP-20s front feet don't extend down as far of the bail on the 30 though, to to aim the sound more toward my head I had to put a deck of cards under them.

I don't think I'll buy any more "matching" speakers. I don't care what it looks like, I care what it sounds like. Little 3 inch communications speakers in long empty steel cabinets just don't seem to cut it no matter how nice they look beside the radio.
