Big step up from DXkeeper ! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I used DX keeper for many years and when a friend showed me maclogger, I decided to search for a more user friendly logging program. This is it! I absolutely love this program! I love how it is easy to use and customizable. Easy to read screen and easy to navigate. I recommend the overview video before trying it out. This helped with knowing how to use the most common features. DX keeper is ancient and feels like something from windows 3.1 days written by an engineer who never thought about usability. This program is simple yet powerful. I am not a big contester or DX chaser, but I use it to log ragchew QSOs, POTA, Satellite, SKCC, and upload to LOTW. It is also super-fast compared to DX keeper which is very laggy with large databases.

Full featured, easy to use, and fast. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've been trying this logger on and off for years. It's always been solid and fast, but I was always in search for something "better". I used HRD logbook for a few years, but I became totally disgusted with its horrible speed. With 50,000+ QSOs in the log, it took forever to do simple things. Then I tried LOG4OM. While very impressive, it didn't have a way to open multiple input windows for a roundtable, net, etc. After all this time, I finally gave ACLog another try. I was pleased to discover that it has been updated with lots of cool features. It works well with integrated logging for WSJT suite, and it plays well with my rigs. The best part of all is that the program is easy to use, highly customizable, and FAST. I've been using it for several months now, and have decided that this is now the permanent station log. I couldn't be more pleased, and I'm looking forward to being a dedicated cheerleader as this software continues to grow. Great job!

Still loving it Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Frustrated and looking for simple yet full-featured logging program, I bought the whole package. No regrets.

It's a bonus like when, yesterday I logged a QSO with N3FJP.

I do POTA and state QSO parties, mostly.

AC Log just can't be beaten. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Am going to keep this short. This is the one to get.
Scott's and Kimberly's service is FANTASTIC. I started with just the logging program but am upgrading to the Full package. Scott will subtract the price already paid, so i end up only paying for the Extras. What a great service.
Lighting fast support, free upgrades, a brilliant program and a long free decent trial option to test it out.
So... what are you waiting for ?

I'm Impressed Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
A huge thanks to all the previous folks that reviewed this program. You made my decision simple. This is an excellent logger. It's easy to use, yet powerful, and really inexpensive. I'm impressed. You absolutely cannot go wrong here. Just do it, you won't regret it for a second. In fact, I'm sure you will love it!

Great Logger Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I think it is the best I have used Ham Radio Deluxe and Winlog32 and AC Log is the best and Scott that wrote the program keeps it up to date and it is ALWAYS FREE after you pay the first time for it

Excellent program Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Can't say how this program would serve a power user but for a casual user it is wonderful. The interface is easy to use and understand. With the exception of one little shortcoming (see my review of the contest log programs), the interface of this program with the contest logs is easy and thorough. The program allows the user to track which states, counties, and dx entities have been worked and on which bands, for example.

Regarding cost, the package of ACL with the contest programs for $50 is a bargain. You might think that a free program would be cheaper but think about it. For most of us, if we use a program as our primary logging software, we would make voluntary contributions to support that program, probably over $50 in the long run.

I highly recommend this software.

Easy to set up, fun to use Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Based on several years' experience, I found that AC Log by N3FJP is easy to set-up and a joy to use. Upon my initial installation, ACL worked fine straight out of the box. I like to tinker with my logging software, so I naturally adjusted the format to my satisfaction, but mostly because "I like to tinker". The Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) covers just about any question a person might encounter. I occasionally review the FAQ's to answer questions I didn't realize I have! The on-line N3FJP Software Users Group is active and helpful. Download country files are available at the click of a button from an active user. AC Log software updates are generally minor and available as needed.

Easier than some but not without problems Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've been trying out a few logging programs. Had used the one built into HRD originally, but with that program's recent incarnations I decided to find something else. I've tried DX Labs DX Keeper, which is clearly very powerful but as others have noted has a bit of a steep learning curve. I wanted something simpler and more intuitive. AC Log has lots of good reviews and seemed to fit the bill, though it costs about $30 where DX Keeper is free. I've been evaluating it for a few weeks. It is indeed simpler - but not as much so as I'd hoped. The interface and menu structure are actually not all that intuitive. Configuration settings are scattered among multiple menus, including some pretty odd places. In general, it is a quirky UI that does not follow many software conventions. I could live with that though. However, I've found that one of the nice features - being able to filter DX Spots in a variety of ways, is not working for me. I've corresponded with the Dev who was extremely responsive, but after a few emails he basically told me that it works for him and he can't think of anything else to try. So the message is - I'm not having this problem, so I'm not going to worry about it. If this were a free program, I'd respect that - but not for one that costs $30. So I'm probably going to continue my search or possibly just deal with the learning curve for DX Keeper.
