Service above and beyond Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The other day, I downloaded the latest version of Scott's CQWW program. I'm a registered user.
Once installed, I found that there were a couple of issues I couldn't figure out, those being connecting to the DX Cluster and AD1C's updated country list. I was a bit concerned, as this is the program I'll use next weekend in the CQWW Contest, and never had any issues with the previous version of the program.
A short email to Scott about the problem. A very short time later I had an email back from Scott and following his instructions the problem was corrected.
I agree with K6SDW, a company and personal that don't forget about you after the sale.

Thanks Scott and Kimberly.

Just before this years CQWW Phone contest I purchased N3FJP'S logging program for the contest. I know that this is not what you're supposed to do, learn the program the night before, but the program was sooo eeeasy to use.
Unlike other programs I've purchased or used previously, while they are very good and have many features, they can have an extensive learning curve, I had this one up and running in minutes. Nothing complicated, and works as well as any other program I've got or used in the past.
A great program and one that I would recommend to anybody. I am so impressed with the product, I am planning on buying the complete package.

Scott really cares.... Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've been using Scott's AC Log program and it's simple to setup and use and works without any issues/drama!!

But the best part, if you have any questions or problems email Scott and you'll hear back from him very quickly with advice.

N3FJP defines customer service.

Cheers All!

Still works nicely Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using this logging program for many years. Just now, I upgraded from version 4.7 to 4.8. It took only a few minutes and my K3 still interfaces properly. I have found that Scott is very responsive to questions via email and would suggest that he be contacted if there is any problem.

I started with version 1.1 and now have 2.2. One great feature is the automatic callsign lookup. When you type in a call and hit the tab key, it gives you the name and address of the person, and lists all the previous QSO dates. I now have a cable modem, which made downloading the large call sign database very easy. Plus, the CW sending capability is another nice option.

I really enjoy using AC Log and the separate contest logging programs. While not as intricate as CT and TR and similar programs, N3FJP provides a simple yet effective way to handle contest duping and report generation, as well as general logging. All the contest programs can export a file which can then be imported by AC Log, the main logbook program. I operated the Nov. SS and the recent 10-meter tests with just a push-button memory keyer (CMOS Super Keyer with S/N generation capability) and N3FJP's software and it was really easy to keep track of what was going on. I now know that I still need WY for QRP WAS. N3FJP offers a CD with all of the programs on it, and regisration fees are very low. I consider these programs incredible bargains.

ver 4.8 problem Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've been a happy user of this software until last month. I was running version 4.6 with no problems interfacing my FT-2000 to the software.

With version 4.8 the software will no longer interface with the 2000. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

Additionally I cannot find any place on the ACL website to revert to version 4.6 which was working to suit my needs.

Seems like a good program but not very flexible on customizing the fields in the 'recent contacts' window. I've searched, and will continue to search for, a way to reorder the visual presentation of the fields - and hide those I just don't need/want to see in the main window.

Thanks to another EHam member this issue is resolved. For anyone else wondering if/how to do it simply click and hold the field heading in the recent contact window and drag the field where you need it. Sounds so simple now, but didn't find it in any of the documentation.

Great program Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I can echo all that K3MD said. It's a simple yet effective logging program. Exporting to LOTW is a breeze. I also use N1MM for contesting and special events, and can easily import .adi files into the AC Log and then on to LOTW with a couple of keystrokes.

It's easy to enter paper log information from past years as well. Maybe in 100 years or so I'll have all of my paper logs entered!

I upgraded to the latest version a few months ago and support was excellent.

This logger rates a 5.

Haven't found a better general logging program Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have used ACLog since around 2000. Have I had issues? Yes but they were all revolved with a email or two. Has worked it's way from Windows 98 through Windows 8.1. eQSL, LOTW, and rig control have all work as described.
Considering this is a very inexpensive program, and they give away the upgrades free, how can you knock it. It is simply GREAT.

Easy Time Owned: more than 12 months.
In the world of increasing complexity and undecipherable logging programs that are very complex, this remains my favorite. Have literally tried them all. Very easy to add QSO's using .adi format from N1MM or Writelog. Converted my old WJ2O and CT logs to .adi and added them. Sometimes this program has been criticized for being "un-windows-like," but it works. Easy to upload eQSL and LOTW... this was not the case for me before the most recent major revision, although how to do it the right way was outlined in the ARRL Handbook.
When the logging program crashed due to a Kaspersky revision to correct the most recent web hacking, it was corrected in 24 hours by Scott, N3FJP.
It is very easy to see your old notes on previous QSO's (ragchew) that you have made... most hams will think you have a good memory (I do not).
Scott personally answers all my stupid questions... this is really appreciated!
QSL label printing now is easy.
I think this program is head and shoulders better than dxlab suite or DX4WIN, for the casual QSL'er who mainly relies on LOTW to keep tabs of his or her 5-BDXCC, etc., status. It is not for the serious county hunter or serious DXCC Challenge guy. I got DXCC challenge just by operating my regular contests!
For contesting I still like Writelog (RTTY and VHF) and N1MM.

I have been running ACLog for 1.5 years now, right after doing a review of some of N3FJP's other contest logging products for National Contest Journal. This program is very easy to use. I just figured out how to print QSL labels, which greatly helps the stack and is around 3 times faster than manual answering of cards.
N3FJP and his XYL always answer even the stupidest question immediately, very helpful.
My problem is that I have 114,000 QSO's since 1991 and some of them have bad band data after being shifted around from CT to WJ2O to LogWin, using B2R9.exe, etc., etc., and you will note that a lot of logging programs will trash these contacts, but ACLog just files them for future reference. Way to go! Rig control is very good, I use it to test my interface with a new rig before I try to get it working with Writelog.
Maybe ACLog is not the most sophisticated logging program around, but it is simple enough for me to use day in and day out, I recommend it!!!!!

Getting better with each revision Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I was torn between Microsoft Excel and a real logging program for years. Finally I broke down and purchased AC Log. It was a great choice. I use it for all my satellite contacts (now into the 1000's.) It works well for Logbook of the World. I do a lot of rover/portable operating and AC Log has really improved with how you can select station locations for LoTW through it's upload interface. The program has been very reliable, easy to use, and I have little room to complain. Overall, I give it marks for high value.

Could be better Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Used the program for several years. It seems to have some issues with Windows 8. I got support with interfacing with Eqsl, but it fell apart with voice nav. It appears the support folks take the position it works on his computer,so you are on your own,in that they were unable to specifically point to the directory in File Explorer to merge the voice waves. I tried several combinations with no luck. Finally deleted it from my system.
Most of my work is digital. MIXW has a great logging program, plus great support.

Reliable, Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Have been using AC Log for about three years, never had a problem running, no conflicts. Three plus upgrades since I started using it. Had a problem (my fault) the first time I upgraded, customer support was quick and helpful. Easily access QRZ database. Easily interfaces with my Flex 6500.
I regularly upload to LOTW and eqsl. Prefer the look of ACLog.
