FINALLY got to use it Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Well 6 finally opened up a little Saturday afternoon and I finally got to try my OA-50. Made my first qso from southwestern NY to northwest Florida. We were both 55 but we made the trip. Not to bad for a little $70 omnidirectional. It was a cold drizzly rain to and it didn't seem to effect the antenna at all.

Assembly was really easy, even on a cold snowy roof when I put it up. Dale was a great help when I called to buy the antenna and it was here within a week. Good product, great service, reasonable prices, what more could we ask for.

I tried contacting some other stations but got beat out by people with their stacked yagi's and such. I need to improve my setup but haven't decided whether to stack the OA-50 or use their small beam. Whatever I decide I will, in all likely hood use a PAR product.

superb support and product delivery Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After answering a dozen questions, Dale shipped me a stacked set with the coax set .. ie, the 50R. it arrived in two boxes - one for teh antennas and one for the cable set - RG11. I was very pleased to find that the antennas were pre assembled, lacking only my putting the elements into the reflectors, attaching them to a mast and doing the coax assembly. of course, I just had to be different in that I have a mess of 1.84" OD fiberglass 4' sections which I assembled into 32' masts for end point supports for the DX-CC as well as one to install on the Rohn 25G. I just can NOT figure out how I want to go about installing the 50R set ... if there were 3" SS bolts in a mount plate with 2" between the bolts, I would be Golden. As it stands though, I am going to have to attach the 50R to a 1.25" EMT and then attach that EMT to the fiberglass mast. More complication, and more weight but... otoh, more stiffening for the mast .
Anyway, I am very pleased with the quality of construction and assembly of not only the antenna but also the RG11 coax set which Dale assures me his people created. if so, they are certainly professionals every bit as good as Belden's.
in summary, it is limited to what size masts you can hang the antennas on but they are certainly very well made and I can hardly wait to get them up on the tower.
You will not regret buying these antennas. Next on my list is a stacked set of 2m and then a stressed Moxon for the Es upcoming. K5DAM

Excellent Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just received and installed my new OA-50. Took about 5 minutes to assemble and the workmanship is very good. A lot of effort went into the mechanical design of this antenna.
I put up on a 20 foot pole and only had to make two trips to the antenna to tune it to the band section I wanted.
I don't know about the performance yet since the band isn't open but from the other reviews I have read here I expect it to work very well.
I had several questions before I bought the antenna and Dale Parfitt at PAR was very helpful and very quick to respond to all my emails.

GREAT ANTENNA Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My OA-50 arrived via UPS and was installed on my roof within two hours (in a cold rain). The antenna was very easy to assemble and was right on the mark when I hooked up my MFJ-259. It is a great antenna for CC&R communities as it is not big and bulky. My first contact was FM-16 to EM-70, sure the band was open but not a bad contact for a new antenna. I will be looking at the 2 meter version next. Dave/KU4YW

WoW... Great antenna. Good Job Par Eletronics Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This has been a great antenna. I’ve only owned it for a short period of time (about a week) and I have worked a lot of different stations with it. I have worked some locally and also some more than 900+ miles away. My QTH is in Michigan and I’ve worked stations down into Florida, Louisiana and Alabama. All of them had a great signal report. I suggest this antenna to anyone that looking to do some great 6-meter work. 73, Rob H KC8ZSU

Excellent Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I've used this antenna both mobile (as a Rover in the VHF contests) and in my attic at about 20 feet off the ground. It works great. I plan to stack two of them for the September contest and compare that to the PAR SM-50 Stressed Moxon. (Which, by the way, also works great) I doubt you can find a better price/performance buy anywhere. I also have a pair of these for 2, 222, and 432.

Still works GREAT! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
A update, Have had it up 30 days short of 2 years now and at 2nd location. It still works perfect! I have purchased another and put it on my Van with a 30+ foot push up fiberglass mast. It's cheap easy to find and works great! Can't beat that. Still working most of USA and Canada and it's just 5' off the roof, and about 25' above ground. Very low profile, painted mine sky blue can't even see it unless your looking for it.

Excellent Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased the 0A-50 about 4 weeks ago and worked an opening yesterday to Bermuda. My signal report was a 58. I had a CW contact to Indiana the same day. I have the antenna mounted on the tower leg at about 25 feet and it works great. The instructions are very easy to follow and the antenna can be set up in less than a minute so it would work great for portable use. This is a quality product at a fair price.
