Outstanding Performance Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was stunned and amazed at how well this antenna worked! and a great way to test it out? during open 6m band conditions and during the VHF contest. I normally run a competitors 3 element 6m beam and well folks, this antenna out performed the beam, both the beam and the OA-50 are at the same elevation so theres no elevation gain. The test was a contact that i had made in canada, i tested both and the OA-50 produced a better signal to a dx station! from sacramento, california to the 6th call district in canada is quite a haul! Assembling a beam consumes some time to get airborne and tuned to what spectrum of the band you would like it to favor, the OA-50 tuning is almost effortless, just takes a few minutes to tune and thats it, your on the air! as far as assembly and instructions go they are definitely a 10 in my book and i strongly suggest this antenna to all 6m operators, newbies and old farts like me, to the crew at par electronics? this "bud's" for you!

Super quick, effective way to get on 6 meters! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Years ago, I got my hands on a PAR 6 meter 'Omniangle', and it performs well beyond my expectations! I only run about 20 watts into it, and at a height of 23 feet it has netted me 97 grid squares, and 31 states on both CW and SSB. The SWR is flat as flat can be (SWR meter needle does not move across the whole band! Amazing!), and i've even worked DX with it (Caribbean, South America, Canada, and Europe). I can't say enough good things about the PAR 'Omniangle'! When 6 is open, this thing will net you great QSO's!

Super Performer!!! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Installed my PAR OA-50 Dec 2002 and continue to be amazed by it's performance. I run an Icom 756PROII barefoot installed the loop at 40ft on my tubular tower. This past week 6m has been open every day at various times and I was able to work anyone (SSB/CW/PSK) I could hear. You won't bust a pileup without power but you will get your grid. I would recommend this antenna to anyone who does not have room enough to swing a beam for 6 meters. Should work great in high peak attics.

GREAT Antenna! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased the Par OA-50 for use as my mobile antenna,I opened the box and in about 10 minutes had it assembled and ready to mount.I mounted it on the back of my diamond plated tool box about four feet above the truck bed.I hooked up the SWR meter and could not believe I only had an SWR of 1.2.1 from 50.100 to well above 50.300 with no extra tuning! The next afternoon I worked a station near Orlando which is about 150 miles south of me and work him now almost every day while driving to and from work.I was working several stations a couple of nights ago on my Icom 746 and a dipole up in Vermont and New Hampshire and went out to the mobile and worked each of them on the first try. This antenna is all that I had heard and then some! I can only hope that all of my base antennas work and tune this easily when I start putting them together and in the air! Par Electronics has a REAL WINNER with this antenna!

Excellent product and support !! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Having installed this antenna during a quiet period, I was beginning to wonder. But on 11/02/02, I heard a station in DK89 calling CQ (I'm in FN12). Got him first try, and many others that day. All solid reports.

It took 30 minutes to open the box, put it together, and mount it to the tower. Excellent craftsmanship and fabulous support. Dale told me exactly what needed to be done, down to the 1/4" to get the SWR in line. It's flat from 50.000 to 50.300.

If you're looking to put up an antenna for horizontal omindirectional VHF work, consider the PAR omniangle units for 10, 6, 2, 220mHz and 430 mHz. It performs as you would want it to and the support is TOP NOTCH !!

I like it Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just put one up 10' of the roof and 25' from the ground. I'm in Las Vegas and have been working the Midwest with a FT-620B with 20W PeP on 50.125MHz I love it! I'm going to get another for my Van.

p.s. half the stations I have worked have the same antenna.

Excellent Omni Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have the OA-50 mounted on my side deck at 30 foot for testing in preparation for mounting at the peak of my A-frame house. Groundwave range to a five watt dipole equipped station is about 80 miles. The first morning after installation, I worked 6 countries including Cape Verde Is. in Africa, four stations in France, Brazil, Spain, Cuba, and three stations in Greenland! Now this is with two inches on snow on the antenna, and the swr was still flat! Bandwidth is exactly as advertised. Can't wait to get it up in it's permanent home at 60 feet! A very good return on investment!

GREAT 6 meter Antenna !! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought this antenna in conjunction with the Par 2 meter stacked omni with the 6 meter
being in the middle. When 6 meters opens up, which has been a lot lately, you can
work just about anyone you can hear with this antenna. I've got it mounted on a 20 ft
mast along with the 2 meter stacked omni. Go for it!

Does a good job for an antenna in this class Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Living in an antenna restricted subdivision I need to hide my antennas. I've used a variety of small antennas on six meters including 5/8 whips and round halo types with varying degrees of success. I recently installed a PAR OA-50 in my attic just to try something else. I was impressed with the results. It can't be compared to a directional beam antenna, but with 5 watts PEP my first two contacts were with Nova Scotia and Dallas (my QTH is Milwaukee). This one is a keeper.
