The OA-50 for SIX Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Hi NL9222 here ;-)
Don't bother my bad english !

Ordered and received the OA-60 within 5 days.
Communications if needed were fast and answers witthin 1 hour.
Assembling and Installation on the chimny took me 15 minutes, it fits my small lot perfect.

Signals compared to the old homemade dipole are louder by 4 to 8 S-Units measured on a 756 Pro II without preamp.
Had to use preamp 2 with the dipole earlier.

All in all, the qrm i suffered from is gone, there's only the signal and could hear some nice things the first 2 days of use, that is DXCC i did not hear in my 1st 3 years on 6

Once i find a decent Rig for 2 and 70 i will for sure feed it with the other models in the OA series.

73 and cu on 6 meters

BEST LOOPS EVER PRODUCED Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Second review. The quality and workmanship is superb and the engineering is most likely the best that's ever been done on loop antenna design. Should get an award for on one the BEST AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS on the market. Considering all the above factors, plus the bargain price, direct contact capability to access the manufacture almost 24/7, independent research on the product if you really need it, and the unbelievable performance ((yes, I have the VUCC 50 MHz award) you should purchase them by the gross, giving them out to to ham club members, new amateur converts to radio and six meters, and even as decorated X-MAS tress (putting new gear under it would be beautiful).

Got six on your radio, get Par. A great band deserves a great performing antenna at a super price.

PS: While I haven't worked Europe yet from the middle of the country, I have worked East and West coast out about 1400 miles, not to mention just about everywhere else!

Have fun. Talk with you soon.

Great Omni! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased this antenna a couple weeks ago to replace my dipole. It certainly was a good choice even though the band hasn't been open since. I've checked into our local 6 meter net with great results, being able to copy most stations.

The antenna is well constructed and solid. It tuned up easy across the whole SSB portion of the band and hasn't been affected by the rain! It's also much quieter than the dipole, allowing better reception of the weaker stations that I wouldn't normally have heard. If you're looking for a 6 meter omni, don't hesitate to grab one of these, you won't regret it!

Update on grid count.... Time Owned: more than 12 months.
In the last 4 weeks I have worked 65 + new grids with the OA-50 with the antenna mounted about 25 feet above actual sea level! Have gotten excellent signal reports and actual compliments on the signal strength as far away as Brazil and Europe.
Thanks, Ken N2VHZ in FM15 (Eastern NC)

AMAZING ANTENNA Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
AMAZING ANTENNA

I ordered the PAR OA-50 antenna last summer and finally got it up
this past fall. I have been spending some time on 6 meters SSB and
also on FM. With this antenna, I was able to contact CT,NY MA and RI
from my FT817 at 5 watts here in NH. I have the antenna mounted up on
the side of my house on a plastic electrical pipe. it is not above
the roof, but close. my wife cannot really see the antenna as it is
behind one of the trees in the front of the house. I hope to get this
antenna up on the roof chimney on a longer mast in the spring, but
until then, it is working GREAT just where it is. I congratulate Dale
on another wonderful antenna that works right out of the box.

Solid performer Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Excellent materials, and performance. With only a couple of DB difference, it is difficult to hear the difference between the PAR and my 3el SteppIr. On-air reports are the same, little or no difference.
Mounted on the side of the tower at 55', a great band open monitor Omni. SWR 1.3:1 or less up to 50.6.
Solid performer.

Very Good antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Have used a OA-50 for mobil operation for over five years. Always preforms excellent. VSWR never changes, No detuning from rain. Also have one mounted off the side of the chimney at home for local contacts. Had the VSWR change, but that was due to "pilot error", put 450 watt thru it. Read the instructions, not designed to handel that much power. Took down, re-adjusted and got VSWR back where it was, put back up and it is working as it should. Highly recommend.

Great 6M Omni Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I can highly recommend this antenna as a general purpose no rotator solution for 6 meters. Its small size, light weight and omni-directional pattern make it preferable to a dipole for most all situations. The antenna includes a built-in balun, so all you need is the coax. Like all PAR products, this antenna has excellent mechanical design, materials and machine work, making it a joy to assemble, install and tune. Tuning went very smoothly and predictably, and can be accomplished with no tools, thanks to the clever mechanical design. I set the resonant frequency at 50.3 MHz, where the SWR measures 1.07:1 with my AIM 4170 Antenna Analyzer. Smooth SWR curve with less than 2:1 up to above 50.8 MHz.

Mounted at only 15 ft on a painter pole, I made several SSB and CW contacts up to 60 miles from my non-ideal location during the Sept VHF contest. If my HOA would allow it, this is what I would like to have on my roof! See also my recent review of the PAR 6 meter Moxon.
