Excellent halo antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
When I go on summer vacation to an island in northeast Wisconsin (grid EN65) I like to take my IC-706 along. The last couple years I have been operating on 6 meters and chose a PAR OA-50 to use on a 25 foot telescoping mast. The OA-50 is easy to assemble and tune. More importantly, it works extremely well during band openings. This summer I worked over 80 stations from 51 grid squares during four good band openings. Many people I worked were surprised that I was just using 100 watts with a PAR OA-50 at 25 feet. I have nothing but praise for this antenna. It is well made and is great for portable operation.

My first 6M antenna - works FB Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I put up the antenna just before Field Day. It is attached to the side of my tower at a height of 25 feet. My first time ever on the 6 meter band, I worked the CY0X DXpedition on Sable Island with it and my K3. Then I casually proceded to work a dozen more stations in eight States during Field Day, some of them 1000-2000 miles from my QTH. I was amazed!

The antenna is brillianly designed and is constructed of first-class materials. It is sure to bring me a lot of enjoyment during this summer's sporadic-e season. I recommend the OA-50 to anyone looking for an easy-to-install, unobtrusive antenna for 6 meters.

And, as always, it was a pleasure to do business with Dale Parfitt, W4OP.

Pilot error and the OA-50 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Someone might pan this antenna, but it won’t be me. Had it up about 35 feet and I was getting serious resonance shifting. Resonance point would drop from 50.125 to somewhere well below 50MHZ. and I couldn’t determine if it was weather related or what. Every day it would resonate at a different point. So I took it down to get a better look at it.

Under the taped up coax input, I found my answer. The PL-259 had loosened up making for a very poor intermittent connection. Back up it went. This time I was sure to secure the PL259 tightly to the input. Problem solved.

Now, if 6 meters would only open again.

Great Antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Got this antenna 4 or 5 years ago after trying larger Cushcraft antenna. The Cushcraft was fine, but I wanted something I didn't have to turn and could listen to the local ragchew. This was the perfect solution. I now have the two meter and the .70 meter version and they work great as well.

Amazing Little Antenna Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Have gotten very good signal reports with my OA-50 mounted only 12 feet high in the top of a little pine tree. Having both HOA & WIFE restrictions, this fits my needs perfectly. Recently worked a station on ground wave 210 miles away and regularly work a friend 130 miles away.Easy to assemble and put up, priced reasonalbly and Dale is such a great guy to do business with. I very highly recommend this little jewel.

OA-50 (PAR) is awesome! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Ordered my OA-50 (my second one) from Dale and received it a few days later. It assembled in less than 5 minutes and was up and operating 10 minutes later. Even though 6M is poor during this part of the cycle I was able to contact and EY45 from DN30 57 and heard a lot more in there from TX. Great product, great company and great customer service! I also use a pair of End Fedz that are great too.

Works FB here Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Review written after 3 weeks use. The Par OA-50 is a clever design, light weight but strong, constructed of well finished materials. I have it bolted to a Rohn 25G at 30', above some and below other antennas on the tower. Antenna doesn't seem to mind how it is situated. If you have an HF+6 rig this antenna will work well for getting on 6 Meters without a major antenna project. Have a good SWR and decent results using the OA-50 with 80 watts power, no pileup buster but you will work a lot of stations. The fellow that owns Par (Dale Parfitt)is a Ham and is great to work with, he is very attentive to customer needs. This is the 53rd review with a 5.0 rating, others must be happy too.

Awesome Time Owned: more than 12 months.
has been up at 35ft for 3yrs. now and never a problem no detuning, even in the rain. swr @1.2:1 on 50.125 plus or minus 35khz. Not the same as a yagi but for omni coverage for monitoring or local round table it gets the job done.

The First 6m Antenna to buy ! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have a set stacked at home and 1 on the mobile . I have worked from HA to JA's on this wonderfull Antennas . The first key to working 6m is to have a true 360 Deg. hor. omni in the air . Then go to the Beams ! I have 8 OA-50's gold plated that I am going to stack on the old 100 ft tower . That's right GOLD PLATED ! I had 10 of them plated . One for the mobile , one for portable use and eight for the Tower . They are all fed with LDF-1 with gold plated PL-259's evan the mobile , The phaseing harnes's are Belden RG-11 with gold plated PL-259's . I have found that the best stacking distance is 10 ft apart this gives the best 360 DEG patern . The only word of warning is when you install the Blak tip run some eletrical tap around the conection points to keep out water . I have ran into this problem on the mobile . Other then that one week point Dale has a winner here . So if your just getting into 6m or have been there for many years buy one ! You will fall in love with them like I have !

PS-If you where wondering what I run for beams I have the Old klm's 14 elements . The main Rig here is IC-7800 and a PW-1 Amp .

best antenna i have Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have kind of a weird setup and decide to try the par antenna for my 6 m ranger 5054-100
I live in a 1st floor apartment and not allowed to install things on buildings as most places wont here. So I took 5 gal bucket set a pole in cement and mounted the antenna on that. I slipped a pole inside my mount pole so I can swing it out from under porch at night. SWR a little rough sometimes due to this moving but nothing that cant be easily fixed. I nade marks on antenna to where i now know what location to set it to for the spots i turn it 2 ( only 2 spots out or under porch) works so far ok that way for quick changes.

I am only about 5 feet above ground in W TX. and my 1st contacts on usb were san dieago CA. to my surprise as many have said if you can hear it you can usually talk to it. well its true.
I also can say with 40 mph winds from a few storms going thru it did whip antenna a little on my mounting, not 1 speck of damage to anything. its built so good it too a beating due to my mistakes. ( fix problems now)

I can not wait to get this up in the air and have more fun then i am now.

I highly recomend this setup to anyone.
great sturdy antenna, great folks, and fast shipping. Dale does go out of his way to be sure your happy with what you buy.
