Great quality Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This is my first end fed half wave and I am still a novice as far as amateur radio goes so I was looking for an easier solution for a packable antenna. A few things; I tested the antenna in a flat wire configuration about 25 ft off the ground and i used both sides of the wire winding portion for the wire and extension, choosing to pack the rope separately. I found the 40M portion was tuned nearly perfect on 40, 20, 15, and 10 giving me less than 2:1 on all listed bands. The 80M extension was cut a bit long which their manual stated very clearly. after purchasing a pack of 2.5mm double barrel copper fishing crimps, I got to trimming and eventually ended up with 1.7:1 on 3.9MHz and 1.5:1 at 3.5MHz which was a good compromise for me. Doing this ended up sliding all subsequent bands right into place and with the 80M extension I now have 1.5:1 on every band except 60M and 30M. My signal reports have been excellent and my swr meter is happy.
