Smooth tuning; so far, so good. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a first impression, having just received one of the first of these to be shipped by DX Engineering.

The Good. Like most Alex products, it is simple to use and works very well. Obtaining a low SWR for any frequency is easy. The mechanism allows for fast tuning - to go from band to band, for example - and slow tuning to zero in on the lowest SWR for a given frequency. If anything, the mechanism allows much slower tuning than is necessary.

Pouches are provided for holding all the components and tools, which is especially useful for travel and POTA/SOTA treks. Alex also provides all the tools needed to install the mechanism on an Alex HamPack antenna as well as all the necessary cables. The tools fit nicely in one of the pouches. The pouches seem of good quality and match the color scheme of the HamPack.

The not so good. The instructions are in the Ikea mold. Very sparse. However, assembly is not complicated.
The allen wrench, used to adjust the set screw which attaches the tuning motor to the tuner shaft, is poor quality. Mine got stuck in the set screw. However, a better allen wrench got the job done. The two screwdrivers and other bits seem to be adequate. However, I would not want to remove and re-attach the tuning mechanism to the tuner shaft too many times.
Also, the case containing the remote control unit does not seem to be particularly robust. I would not want to drop it onto a hard surface.

I give this a provisional 5 star rating. However, I want to give it a little more use under different conditions before settling on that as a permanent rating.

More to come.

2-21-24 Update
Have had this a month now, with almost daily use. It is a gem. Easy tuning and sure beats going outside in winter weather to switch bands. I bought some tuner shaft set screws. Removing and re-attaching the tuning mechanism to the tuner shaft has not been a problem. I use rechargeable Tenergy low self discharge Ni-MH batteries, which seem to last a long time.
All in all, a solid 5 star item. I am very happy with mine.
