Works very well but several design flaws IMO. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I’ve had some good results with this antenna (715 contacts 100 countries ARRL10m), but it has some very annoying flaws. I have it mounted on our chimney, two days after install a mild storm blew though, the noise generated by the antenna was terrible. I investigated the source, one of the grub screws was gone despite being properly tightened allowing a radial to vibrate. Replaced with a screw, few days later another grub screw disappeared. I replaced all of the radial grub screws with ordinary screws and wrapped with self amalgamating tape, significantly improving the noise generation. It’s already slightly bent just above the tuning coil, nothing more than 50km/h wind so far, so I’m doubtful it would survive anything worse, time will tell.

Cheap Materials Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had two of them and they both broke just above the coil. Do not buy if you are in a high wind area. Called after the first one broke and they sent me a replacement section, but it was the wrong part. I liked the antenna so I purchased a second one. Same problem, bent over just above the coil. Need thicker pipe for the bottom section.

Great antenna for the Dollar Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The New Sirio Tornado for 10m is a great antenna for the dollar. Setup is a snap and it’s very easy to tune. I tuned mine for the CW portion of the 10m band and it’s a stellar performer with a very wide bandwidth of approximately +/- 800 KHz on Center. After a short while up on the tower I noticed it became intermittent so I pulled it down, replaced all the set (grub) screws with metric bolts, retuned it and it’s been solid ever since. I am able to use it on the SSB portion of 6m, 10, 12, 17 and 20 without a tuner and on 30/40 with the rigs internal tuner, great deal for a supposed mono band stick. One thing stands out as odd, it is not a grounded antenna so you will need to use protection before the coax enters the shack. I deducted a star for the hardware change and the ungrounded mast. You can’t really go wrong for the price and I’m certain you’ll be pleasantly surprised with its performance.
