Worth the price! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Assembled it as per the manual. Pieces could have been marked a little better and the hardware was missing the nuts, not a major problem. Dug a hole in the garden, put in bottom mount & some quick-set, pounded in a 4' ground rod and threw up the antenna. Using a roll of old hookup wire I put about 6 random-length radials out on the ground in various directions.
I did some preliminary SWR plots and found that several of the bands weren't centered where I needed them, but the curves were reasonable and I was running a tuner.
Following weekend was the CQWW SSB and I worked a whole bunch of countries I had never even heard before.....Also operated ARRL Nov SS and worked about 70 of the 80 sections in casual operation....all with my 100w 35-year-old Kenwood 520S.
I probably should go out and tune the antenna like the above reviews; may just wait till spring after the ARRL DX test.....
In all, a nice antenna - while it'll never beat a 7el beam on 100' tower, it works fine for what it is....and you just have to accept it for that....

Being rewarded for being patient Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
It took me two afternoons to tune the antenna but it was well worth it. I have the antenna mounted in a patio umbrella base (wrought iron) on a 5' section of TV antenna mast out behind the garage which is 60 feet behind the house.

I get excellent signal reports all the time.
