Simply Great Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is the first antenna I ever bought as a ham and I still find uses for it. It has been in my attic and now sits in the corner of my bedroom. I have brought it with me on trips and attached my HT to it. It disassembles very nicely.

At first when I was asked about my antenna and upon hearing that it was a J-Pole, I did not get good reports. I eventually replaced it with a Diamond antenna but also kept the Arrow and switched between them. After people got used to me having the Diamond antenna they did not seem to notice when I switched to the J-Pole. In fact, they were amazed how well it did. Some hams just think that a J-Pole cannot compete with any of those more expensive antennas with the phoney or inflated gain figures. Well my J-Pole is the only piece of ham gear that I bought when I was first licensed that is still in use. Lean it against a wall, toss it into a tree or put it in an attic and it will not let you down.

great antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
got it for the ft-817 upstairs, took longer to get out of the box than getting it up.on a mast in the front of the house,so i just had to open the window to put it up.both 2m/440 work great at 5 watts hit machines 50plus miles away,in the sf bay area with all the hills.great little antenna.

Works Great Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Bought one some time ago but just finally got around to installing it.

I have it up about 15FT in my attic attach to 25' of RG8X. It is mounted to a 2x4 cross brace at the highest point in the attic. There is some duct work and metal flashing nearby but it seems to be far enough away to not cause any issues. I live in an HOA restricted neighborhood so on top of the roof was not an option.

With my HT I can reach all the area repeaters with just 500mw. Some of the longer distance repeaters (those >25 miles ) I can now work with just 1 or 2 watts. Both 2M and 70CM worked equally as well. SWR meter shows 1.1 to 1.3 across 2M and about the same across 70CM.

Simple to put together, good performance, and built to last just about forever. It's not a DX antenna but well worth the cost.

My OSJ 146/440 shows no sign of age Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I had to take down my OSJ 146/440 last week for some mast & dipole repairs and found that it didn't look bad at all. A couple years old and still looking great but the most important fact it kicks butt getting me into some far away repeaters.

First thing you notice when you open the package is how well and secure it is packed. UPS/FedX or even USPS can throw the container around all they want this baby ain't going to get damaged in transit to your home base.
The second thing I noticed was how well made the antenna was. First grade materials are used and nothing is flimsy.
Third thing was all the distant repeaters that I was pulling in and clear as a bell.

The Arrow OSJ 144/440 gets top billing in this household. I'll definately buy again from this manufacturer.

Excellant construction Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just received my Arrow antenna and am very impressed with the construction and ease of assembly. All I had to do was put it together, mount it on my roof and voila! excellent swr on 2 meters. Don't have a SWR meter for 440 but was able to hit repeaters I never even heard before. I replaced my copper cactus "J" pole which was getting pretty old ( aren't we all?) This is a 5 or more earned by an excellent product with no fuss or muss.

Takes a Lickin' Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This antenna has been in the air for about 2 years and works just fine. The amazing part is that I was taking it down yesterday and got it hung in a tree branch. The long element bent back at an extreme angle and I thought 'Oh, boy. I just broke it".

Once on the ground it was barely bent and pretty much snapped back into place. What great quality and craftsmanship.

Buy one and abuse it!

This antenna works very well. The construction is excellent and was easy to put together.

Too bad the previous poster reviewed the company instead of the perfomance of the actual product.

I HAVE OWNED ONE SINCE 2002 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have owned this antenna since 2002, I have been inactive for the last four years and the antenna has been mounted outside on a mast all this time. Recently I got back into the hobby, I plugged in my dual band radio and the antenna still worked great. The SWR were better than 1:2 on both the 2 meter & 70 cm bands. I was able to hit a repeater that is located 50 miles from my house. The antenna has been thru some serious storms and has not been affected at all. It worked just like the day that I bought it six years ago.

Excellent dual bander! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I love Arrows products. Along with this rugged antenna I have the Arrow sat antenna and the GP 52 6m ground plane! You can not go wrong with these antennas!

I have the J146/440 mounted atop the old TV antenna mast....about 10' above the roof line! I have no problems working any repeater in the area or simplex with my friends in NJ.
