Great Software at Great Price Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Throw away those dog-eared, coffee-stained, out-of-date DX Call Sign Lists!

Pull those maps that look like they came over on the Mayflower off the wall!

Delete those slow-to-load and difficult-to-use Gray Line and Beam Heading programs!

Get the DX Atlas software! This is the real deal.
Try for 30 days, no charge. It is easily the most useful piece of ham software I own. This one piece of easy-to-use software does it all. DX Call Signs, Maps, Gray Line, Beam Headings (w/both short and long path) plus a lot more.

Get it. You will like it.

Very useful! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I installed the shareware version and decided to register after a few days. It's a very useful tool. I also have the German software package HAMATLAS (http://www.hamatlas.de) which is more expensive but except for a more detailed German map does not offer much more at a higher cost. I also installed EU6TV's free islands list which is really great if you're an IOTA enthousiast!

Just got even better Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Version 1.1 is now available. Grid Squares are supported and the databases appear to be substantially updated. More detailed information can be displayed on the map.

Enjoy!

Here's a quick update to the previous reviews, now that version 1.0 is available.

DX atlas is certainly neat and works very well! The implementation of the gray line is excellent! There is a simple lookup facility for prefixes, countries and islands.

Powerful graphics include the rectangular and azimuthal scrolling maps each with a good zoom. Path and compass bearings together with sunrise & sunset times, follow the pointer on the map.

Pointing at a prefix on the map will pop up a country label. Clicking on the prefix on the map will take you to that territory's entry in the on-screen table. Right click on the territory's entry will take you to a complete summary of all the entity's information. You can quickly locate a territory on the map by clicking on its entry in the table.

Other neat features include the large UTC/Local clock and ability to change the gray line time.

This product is certainly worth downloading. You'll be impressed!

Good tool... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a good tool for all HF hams who use the PC. Not only for prefix lookup and beam headings, but it shows real time gray-line info. It is now supported by MixW program so it is even easier to use while operating.

Lots of Potential Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This software is not yet released, so this review is a bit premature, but I downloaded the beta demo and was VERY impressed.

The demo displays an atlas with CQ or ITU zones clearly marked for the entire world, and lets you view in a number of different projections. The potential of this is pretty amazing, but currently the software doesn't have greyline capability, which would have made it VERY COOL. They're adding that according to the site, so I'll re-review the softwarewhen it gets further along.
