Reviews: 30MSRP: 379.00
Description:
The CobWebb is a full size half wave dipole on each of the 5 amateur bands, 14, 18, 21, 24 and 28 MHz. The CobWebb is 5 separate full size dipole antennas, each bent into a square. This makes it very small (only about 8 foot square)
Product is in production

Excellent Antenna. OI have one now going into it's 13th yeardt Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I now have th cobwebb going into it's 13th year. At this stage it is beginning to fail. The wires (dipoles) are all breaking where the wires are tied down on the cross members with cable ties. Some different method needs to be designed in order to stop.t this form of failure.

Howebr for 13 years it has done remarkably weel only having had to come down in it's 12th year for repairs

great antenna Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Antenna arrived within a few days of payment. It has been up at only 15 foot for a few weeks and works very well. I have worked lots of dx into jx,zl,vk with 100 watts and a kenwood ts870 . It is now up at about 32ft and works even better. It does every thing it says on the tin! - Cut down on noise and stopped a local tvi problem. If you have limited space, then the cobwebb is well worth the money.

Nothing special Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was very impressed with the reviews and website - I will not derogate this ariel because it does work and is ideal for the small QTH.
I found the construction and installation very simple - (DO WEAR RUBBER GLOVES if you don't want glassfibre in your hands) - On completion I put it up at a height of 32 feet
Where the "big S points" come from I do not know!
It is no better on recieve than my windom but the noise level is lower (which you would expect as the windom covers a broader frequency range) - as to signal out I have reports which are virtually similar from recipients on both ariels
If you are looking for a small footprint ariel, have no space and don't want to use a vertical this will do the job - just don't expect too much -

Built like a brick whatsit Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
First off: if you want one of these you are going to have to use the telephone - emails are not answered. When you have overcome that hurdle you won't be disappointed. This antenna is strong and beefy: I don't see it coming apart for a long time. Assembly is straightforward, and the fibreglass spreaders should outlive me, I reckon. A word of warning: fiberglass dust gets EVERYWHERE, so wear rubber gloves and rinse the spreaders off thoroughly before you start. I am rather pleased how quiet this antenna is: it's not a lack of gain, but it seems to pick up less noise than a dipole at the same height in my densly-populated suburban environment. If you don't have much room and/or a big sturdy tower, you can can have fun - and it includes 17m and 12m too.

Delivery was within a week of my currency transfer being made, so I won't complain about that.

If emails were answered I'd give it a 5 - as it is a 4 will have to do. Would I do it again? SURE!

Excellent Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I recently got my CobbWebb, and was impressed with many aspects of the antenna.

Firstly it is well made, the building instructions are excellent, but the real proof is the signal quality.....

I used to use single Dipoles cut for each Frequency.... but using the CobbWebb - I have no ant switching, a better SWR, a better signal and more QSO's.... Isn't this what Ham Radio is about ??

As I only use 50W (my choice) anything that assists me 'getting out' is appreciated, and the Cobb webb certainly seems to do this very well.

If mine wee stolen tomorrow - I would instantly replace it.

Did I mention that it's visual signature is FAR (repeat FAR FAR FAR) less than almost any other ant (possible bar a long wire/Zepp) - so for those of you with Ant problems with neighbours/planning restrictions - this may be your solution.

Hope this helps you

Perfect for me!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I had been considering one of these antennas for a number of years. I recently found a second hand one at a good price and decided to purchase it. I am very pleased that I did! The antenna is very sturdy, the one I bought was 5-6 years old and was still in A1 condition. My antenna was pre-tuned to the SSB portions of the 20-10m bands, so no tuning required. It is mounted on a push-up mast at about 15 feet with houses nearby. I use my Carolina windom as a reference antenna - I prefer this cobwebb for a number of reasons.
Bandswitching is simple and because the antenna is resonant on all bands, no ATU is required. It only requires a single support, unlike a traditional dipole/windom. It is omni-directional, no nulls. Most of all, it works very well! Switching between my two antennas, there are more times when the cobwebb produces a stronger signal than the windom - on all bands (possibly with the exception of 10m). I listened to the worldwide beacons to make my evaluations. I have just finished working a Japanese station on 12m, and was then called by 4 more! This has never ever happened to me before - infact I have never worked japan on 12m (maybe due to the Windom's null in that direction?). I am looking forward to guying my mast and pushing the Cobwebb clear of my house roof. The Cobwebb paperwork suggests a 3-6 db improvement with a doubling of height - can't wait!!

WELL MADE...LONG WAIT Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
i have only just got my cobwebb after waiting 10 days for it too arrive from yorkshire, only got it up 6 meters in the air, so i am struggling at the moment with my 10 watts, but i will be lifting it very shortly to 11 meters, and i will let you all know the outcome...well made antenna and looks fine when up in the air.. but if you order one be prepaired for a wait, and you will find they do not reply to your emails either

The Answer to the Problem Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have used one of these for over 5 years.
I have had contacts from all major continents.
Maximum power ever used 200W.
The great success is that I have seen this antenna work close to a TV antenna without TVI.
I have never caused TVI to my knowledge.
It is a very strong antenna. Mine having been in an exposed position all its life with only one broken wire and we are talking of gusts up to 100mph.
Recomend it to anyone.

small garden?read on Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
this antenna is 5 full size half wave dipoles fitted into a space of 8foot square
it took me one and a half hours to build,v.good instructions, all parts of good quality.
my first 2 hours on the radio i worked 22 courntrys, including n.zealand,japan,usa,canada,s.america, etc
brilliant antenna i,ve just worked all continents in my 1st test, and using only 100watts
.the cobwebb is omi directional, very light, and causes no tv interference, some of the 5 bands are resonant but you will need a basic atu .
if you need an antenna for restricted locations like myself the cobebb is ace,
i,ve written this review because it realy has made the hobby come back to life ,instead of using small antennas that don,t work,73,s
