Its a delight! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've had my ACOM for 2 weeks. Bought it second hand in the UK.
Its the first HF Linear I've ever owned in 45 years of Amateur Radio.
It complements my K3 perfectly and tunes both my antennas effortlessly. (TW2010 and 80M OCF Dipole)
I mainly operate CW and the AMP simply breezes along: 30 watts input = 400 watts output and it casework runs at room temperature -- even after a solid hour on the key.
The full break-in is excellent. So quiet you often wonder if its connected until noticing the power output!
I thought the tuning indicator would be a bit of a gimmick -- but its not. It works and its simple to use. I don't need an ATU (which would have cost sever hundred £'s on its own) the AMP matches any antenna I've connected.
As a bit of an Elecraft nut, I had wondered about the KPA500 -- which seemed to meet all my requirements -- but then it needs an ATU, and an expensive one at that. The ACOM was a better choice for me, particularity as second hand it was less than half the price of a new KPA500 on its own.
The build quality is of the highest order. Great design. Clean lines, simple solid controls and it seems to cope with all my misdemeanors -- like feeding it with 100 watts instead of 30, driving it into a 10:1 SWR and driving it on the wrong band. Having hooked up the 'keying out' socket to my K3 TX inhibit, it seems to be extremely resilient.
In summary:
Second only to my K3, its the best bit of kit I've purchased in 45 years on the air.

In one word: Fantastic!

Amazing!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just received a new Acom 1000 from Array Solutions. I have to say this is one amazing and easy to use amp! I had no problems connecting it to my new Kenwood TS990S. One cable, a quick easy tune up with 65 watts drive...and 1024 watts out in less than 10 seconds..! This amp is very well constructed and a heavy duty piece of equipment...I highly recommend one if you are looking for an amp!

Excellent Amplifier. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have owned the Acom 1000 for 3 years, previous Amplifiers were the Yaesu 2100Z and the Linear Amp Ranger 811H.Both were troublesome, input matching, short valve life etc.Running both Amps was not a pleasure by any means.
Then i bought the Acom,so easy to use no need for an external Tuner the TRI facility makes it all so easy and the Transciever looks at 50 Ohms all the time.like the other 130+ reviews to date..A GREAT AMPLIFIER..

Great linear Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
After +20 years my THP HL-1KGX was outdated with soft tubes. I compared Acom's to Ameritron's, Italian solid state amp's and Alpin's. Finally i decided to buy an Acom 1000. I think that will be in my shack for next 20 years. I guaranteed it's long life and puchased spare tubes. I am sitting on five NOS GU74B tubes.
Amplifier is very easy to tune and quiet.Build quality is very good and it is well protected. It's just whispering when it pushes 800-1000 watts output power. Acom 1000 meets everything i expected.
Just buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Great amp Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
For a manually tuned, vacuum tube amplifier, This is about as modern an implementation of this century old technology as I can currently imagine. I won't repeat the good points well illustrated by others. Six meters is certainly a plus.
I do wish though that they had used vernier drives on the tune/load caps (they bind slightly) and the knobs for those controls look cheap. I find myself preferring a calibrated analog display for output tuning as opposed to the bar graph display on the amp, which is nonetheless perfectly adequate.
With all vacuum tube amplifiers these days, it's advisable to maintain a stock of spare tubes. Supply for these can only become less certain.

"HOT SWITCHING" Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I recently bought an Acom 1000. When I hooked the amp up and started to tune I got a "Hot Switching" message...I run a Yaesu FT-1000MP, this is my main rig and I use it to run my henry amp...I have a extra relay in the keying line...When I hooked the Acom 1000 up I would get "Hot Switching". After several attempts, I called Jay at Array Solutions and he advised me to take the extra relay out of the keying line. The amp then worked perfect....What was happening was the extra relay was slowing down the switching process and let rf go into the Acom before it had time to switch...This caused the "Hot Switching"
I like to talk using vox and the Acom 1000 can switch so fast that I never hear any relay switch or any thing. I can not even tell the amp is working unless I look at the watt meter...I have several amps from the Alpha, Collins,Heathkit, Commanders and Henry. I like them all, but this ACOM 1000 is so smooth and easy to tune, it is the best amp I have ever had.......
