Most beautiful paddle Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Been looking for one of these for years after seeing pictures and reviews.Found one at the Stone Mtn. hamfest yesterday. It was worth the wait.It is the most beautiful paddle I own(have 9 others) and the feel is unbelievable. Good luck finding one. I'm sure the Schuenemann replacement from MorseXpress is as good but also hard to get.Superb key!

Quality and 'feel' in a small package Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've tried a variety of 'portable' keys with my FT 817 and my FT 987. I travel to remote places in the South Pacific (ZK, T88, V63 etc) and size and weight of the ham gear is critical. The tiny keyers often are not comfortable or reliable, while the reliable and comfortable keyers are not
tiny.
I've found the Schurr Mini Portable to be the best compromise. Supurb German quality and 'feel' in a very lightweight package with a tiny footprint.

This key is a keeper, and goes everywhere with me!

Quality in a small package Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have used this paddle with my Elecraft K1 for over a year now, and it has been a faithfull companion on many trips and kept me from going insane in many a hotel room. Of course it's not as heavy as the Profi II that I have at home, and you have to hold it when keying, but for the size and light weight it still conveys the characteristic precision that says "Schurr". A great paddle for portable operation!

Smooth Operator... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The "Mini-Portabel" is similar to Schurr's other mini paddle. The plastic paddles themselves are a bit smaller, and the unit is mounted on a small piece of stained mahagony instead of brass. It is a light unit. It looks as though it was made for use with mini-QRP rigs. In fact, the box that the Mini-Portabel comes in shows the Mini next to a FT-817. Adjusting the Mini is easy, and it plays smooth as silk. You will need to hold the Mini, or fasten it down somehow, as it will be all over the place when in use (it doesn't have the heavier brass base). It's about 4" long and 2" wide (the base is about 3.5" long and 2" wide). If you are looking for a quality mini paddle, you will enjoy the Mini-Portabel.
