Very Honest and Professional Time Owned: N.A.
I took a TS-930sat to Milton several months ago. The power supply was shot . He fixed it and brought the entire rig back to factory specs. A good experience. We are lucky to have Milton in the SE. I live about 80 miles from Milton and can drop things off at his QTH.

Very honest and competent service Time Owned: N.A.
I would have to agree with the last reviews. I recently had my FT-1000D inspected by Milton, in order to verify its alignment status and bring it up to factory specs as well as perform all the recommended updates if not already performed (got the rig used).
At exactly the promiced time period he had it ready and verified that all the necessary upgrades had been performed before.
A honest and corteous person to deal with, and certainly recommended to anyone.

Excellent Repair Experience Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I purchased a TS-950SD at a local hamfest in the fall of 2003. In spite of claims by the seller of perfect condition and full power output, the radio had some problems with lower output power on several bands. Milton diagnosed the problem promptly and correctly and had the radio ready for pickup in less than 2 days. I found him completely honest, helpful in advice on some other technical questions and very reasonable in his repair pricing. Those folks complaining or negative in their comments in this review section probably would not be pleased regardless of who worked on their equipment, in my opinion. I for one can assure from my experience that Milton is very competent and makes every effort to please a customer and I recomment his service highly. By the way, when asked what he thought would be a good NEW radio to buy, he said to look at the IC-756 PROII. I now have one of those too, and he was also right about this advice. A great radio for the money !!

Excellent service and repair Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I made arrangements with Milton to send the ICOM 746 that had low power on all bands because I was afraid to send it to ICOM America. I sent an E-mail to let him know it was coming, he sent me one back when it arrived then called on the telephone to verify the problem. He then called back a day later to let me know it was on its way back to me. He was very courteous, did the repairs, the turnaround time was fantastic (one week) and I was very pleased. I highly recommend him to anyone needing service.

Extremely Pleasant Experience! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Mr. Lord helped me determine over the telephone what was most likely wrong with my Kenwood TH-22A so I sent it to him. It was returned in less than 8 days repaired. His repair cost was very reasonable and I would recommend him to anyone! Thanks Mr. Lord!

Icom Ic R-7100 repair Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
In December 2003 I took my R-7100 to Mr. Lord for an alignment and an upgrade. He did the upgrade and alignment while I waited. He knew exactly what he was doing and did it quickly and efficiently. What was a good radio is now a great one.

So so Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I sent my TS940 to Milton early last year as it would stop receiving. He replaced a VCO. It took a bit longer than the previous trip but not bad. Within a few days it stopped receiving again. The symptom was a bit different - the freq display now went blank suggesting the PLL was losing lock. I sent it back. After two months and a couple of e-mails that took a long time to be answered it came back. No problem found. A couple of days later the same problem. I called Milton and he said send it back. Another two months it finally came back just after Thanksgiving. He had found a cold solder joint. Yesterday it failed again - same problem. I don't see his web site anymore. For the second trip he charged me only $20 for shipping. The third trip was no charge.

There was a second problem with the audio volume which is actually worse after the third trip than when I started.

Great Fast Service at fair prices what more can you ask for? Time Owned: more than 12 months.
My Icom 756 Pro developed a problem a few days back. It was on a Saturday when I noticed the rig loosing output power, and while checking my connections I discovered the rear case of the radio was so hot it actually burned me when I touched it.
I shut the rig down and the first thing Monday I shipped it to Ham Radio Repair operated by N4DA, Milton Lord.
Milton received the radio the next day via UPS and evidently he went to work on the rig straight away. I say this because I had the rig back by Thursday of the same week. Shipped on Monday and returned to me as good as new on Thursday, with 2 days for travel time that means Milton repaired the rig in just one day, oh and I almost forgot, I told him to to the all band transmit mod while he had the rig opened up so I could try the new 60 meter band if I ever decided to give it a try.
The rig works perfectly now. The output power is even better than before, and the all band mod works great.
I highly recommend N4DA's Ham Radio Repair to anyone that finds themselves in need of a knowledgeable, efficient, and fairly priced Amateur Radio Repair Service. You just cant do better than Milton in my opinion.
