Scale of 1-10 Astron is an 11 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have two RS20's an RS12, RS7, they are all great. If you need any repairs and live near the factory. walk it in they will repair it most times while you wait, update new modifications and charge zip for their service...I love the company.

Great little power supply!! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
The very best power supply made. No problems at all over the years. Wish everything in the shack would last as long as the 20A has. Just keeps on going and going...Larry/w5zzq....

Very good! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have owned two of these over the years. I only got rid of the first one because I needed money. The one I have today has lasted 8 years with very heavy usage, 170 countries worked and several different rigs used. I highly recomend it. I have tried two other brands that were slightly cheaper, and both failed within three years. Not Astron!! I am sold.

Absolutetly highly recommended Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have two Astron power supplies: RS-20A and RS-35M. Both are really a great gears. I have even fixed an old RS-20A late this week (replaced some old caps). The earlier RS-20A are different internally from the newer ones. There are some few components added (such as DC coupling electrolytic capacitors and other). But even the old ones are just great performers, doing their job for years and years. Absolutetly highly recommended.

Quite a Tank! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Bought mine at a Hamfest in the late 90's (circ '97?). Powered all kinds of rigs with it through the years with no problems whatsoever. It just won't quit. A tough performer. A true 5!

Excellent! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought my RS-20A about 3 years ago. It has performed flawlessly. One of the reasons I went with the Astron is because of their reputation for being reliable power supplies. The supply runs pretty quietly, and I have no doubt it will still be running great 20 years from now. I work in a factory and we use Astron power supplies to power all of our radio equipment. Like one other reviewer said, just buy one, turn it on, and forget about it!

Eternal life Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought one of these about 10 years ago to use with an Icom 720A. Used it with the Icom, with a Kenwood TS430, with an Alinco DX70TH, all with good results. It is like another reviewer said-you turn it on and forget it. Never had any problems, worked great with all 100 watts rigs-but never tried it on continuous duty modes like RTTY. Finally sold it to get a higher amp model to power my 2 meter amp at the time, but I am sure it is still chugging along at the new owner's shack. Nice compact size, no fans to hear, good binding posts, and great price. This is one piece you wouldn't need to ever replace.

A Work Horse Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Bought one back in 1986 and still have it. Still works great. Have used it with about 10 different radios, and it has been to Korea and back with me and around the US. I still have it and still use it. It's not a 10 in looks anymore but sure in operation. I would recommend it to anyone.

won't quit, ever Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought one of the first 20 amp astrons about 20 or more years ago. I have used it with at least 15 different 100 watt HF tranceivers of all brands. It hasn't missed a beat or blinked. No piece of gear could have served me better. Buy one and forget it. It'll be there working longer than you will.
