Gave 'em away Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Nice matching power supply for the latest Icom transceiver line. The fan is too noisy for having QSO’s and the 12VDC pigtail is too short to move the unit away from the operating position.

Basically gave the two PS-125’s away and I’m quite happy with my Astron 35M.

Works Well Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This supply works fine on all my Icom rigs. The power lead is somewhat short,But my biggest complaint is that fan.Much too noisy and runs too much.Should be good for travel.Very lite weight.

fairly noisy fan, on too often Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Forget the price, matching psu's are always vastly over-priced and are not good value. It's not a phenomena specific to amateur radio.

The PS-125 is compact and looks great alongside an Icom rig, and that's what you're paying for.

No electrical noise has been noticed here, just the fan noise. I've heard worse from fans but it cuts in more than should be needed. Even with the rig on RX, in far from warm room temps, it will start up.

Flying lead to rig is a bit on the short side for some situations.

No worries Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Mine has been in regular use for 4 years, through T-storms and hurricanes and frequent power disruptions and no problems at all.

Wouldn't waste money on it!!! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Have owned 2. Last spring, both died within 2 weeks of each other after less than 2 weeks service on one and less than 1 week on the other. Power spikes I imagine. Both units were plugged in but not turned on. NOT GOOD. Sent one in to Burqhardt, said not worth repair. Free with radio---no wonder. To bad Icom won't come up with repair that is cheaper than buying a new one. If they would last, yea I would own one. Astron for me.

Icom PS 125 is a small package & works very well Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased the IC-746 Pro II and PS-125 together and find no problems at all. This is a very small supply that delivers what the 746 Pro needs and doesn't take up the entire desk top. I would say this is a good deal when purchased with the radio.

Excellent - Simple Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I can't speak for other reviewers, but my PS-125 is perfect. Got it free with a 746-Pro, I don't have any problem with noise, whines, fans or anything else. It works well, and other than a very short power cord to the rig, it works perfectly. Perhaps later production models have been fixed as to earlier problems reported in the reviews.

Solid power Supply - no hash - some audible fan noise Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Having used other switching power supplies I can say that the PS-125 generates no hash that I can find and I spent hours searching for it, whereas I was able to find it on others quickly (Samlex SEC-1233 particularly). So from the radio's perspective this power supply is very quiet.

Voltage drop at full power draw was only 0.25 volt so it is very stable whereas others I've checked in the past can drop more than 1 volt.

The fan does come on quite a bit and mine does have a high-pitched hiss when under load, even though the unit never gets warm ot the touch.

I solved the audible noise by cutting off the short power lead and extending it to 6 feet and then I put the PS-125 under my desk. Now it's no louder than my PC (which is very quiet) and I no longer notice it.

What I do notice is absence of hash when tuning around the bands. With band condx being what they are who needs hash noise in the mix?
