Beginners Guide to the DX Galaxy ! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
While written originally for the beginner, this book is so thoroughly researched, well organized, and clearly written, that any DX'er will be well rewarded with the comprehensive content and modest price. This is no "whodunit" where you have to start with page 1 and read to the end to understand DX theory. Rather, this is a big format (8-1/2 by 11") desktop reference manual. Every topic is listed in the table of contents and each chapter is self contained--you can read it all or only what you need to know. Plus there is an index in the back, along with 14 appendices of handy tables, lists, codes, etc. This should be the only source book you'll ever need on DX'ing---especially since it is regularly updated by the old pro author, AC6V. A great bargain.

Get it! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
AC6V's DX Reference Guide is a must have. If you're going to be on a deserted island alone with your rig (IOTA?) and can have only one book, this is it. Interesting and informative, Rod Dinkin's new "Reference Guide" hits the mark for this Ham. It is chocked full with useful information and tid-bits from AC6V's experience and pointed research on every thing from Antennas to Zones. Not only is it a great reference, but also makes for fun general reading. Open up to most any page and there is something that's of Ham interest. The book while focused on DX, goes beyond "101," beyond DX, and even touches on DX related topics such as contesting and code tests in an easy reading style. No this isn't a paid commercial; just like the book.

Great Job Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Rod...What a wonderful surprise to receive your DXing 101-x manual as a gift from my good ham friend, Courtney, AJ6Z. I've had it about four months and find it very informative and interesting to read, with easy to understand language. I have read several sections and find it full of helpful ideas to make DXing and Ham Radio more rewarding. It is also a first class reference guide with a permanent place on my Ham desk. I look forward to using it for many years to come. Thanks Rod, Good DXing 73 de AAØCT Gary

This is the best book on DXing available today. Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Dxing 101X is finest reference tool about Dxing available today. This book is loaded with some of the best tips, techniques and information…not the run of the mill stuff. (You can tell the author is a real Pro. I learned that he is also a member of the Honor Roll.) That’s why new and seasoned Dxers alike will use this book. Just one of the many pluses of this book is that it is current...so current, in fact, that each comb-bound copy is printed on demand with the latest information. This is especially important since so many Internet addresses are contained in this book…and all current. Additionally, the author regularly posts addendums to his book to his Web site, so your book need never become obsolete. If you are interested in this veritable bargain, you can even read some sample chapters on the author’s Web site, before you make your decision to buy it!
