Couldn't Ask for More! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
It took my about 15 minutes to get on the air after programming the jumpers. Great piece of equipment. The only thing missing was the allen wrench to access the jumper socket. I am using a couple of headers as I will be using this with several radios. Set-up is a snap Good programs are included with the interface but the latest versions are on the Web. Tigertronics, Keep up the good work!

Works exactly as described Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought my SL-1+ on eBay for £40 for temporary use whilst I built my own interface. I am impressed by the small size and high quality of construction. It was very easy to setup and use with the FT-817 though the metering on that radio does make Tx level setting a bit tricky to avoid going into ALC.

The idea of using an RJ45 connection on the back is a very good idea as network cables are very easy to find so making a radio cable is easy.

The new price in the UK is a rip-off £70.

Works well and looks great Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have owned the SignaLink SL-1+ for a couple of years now. Have used it with Icom, Ten-Tec, Kenwood and Elecraft K2 rigs. Very flexible and easy to hook up. Have never had any problems with it and it works as advertised. Also, it is one of the nicer looking interfaces on the market. I would buy again.

Your Experience May Vary... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought one of these to get on the digital modes. First unit I got never did transmit. Called Tech Support, they sent a new board. New board never powered up. Since I already had a working interface from another supplier, I sent the new one back for a refund. The tech support was very kind and helpful, but after the second unit failed to power up, I would never buy from them again. I give them a 3 for the good tech support, and the fact that the software disk included in the kit has good programs. As I said, your experience may vary.

Well designed and well built unit. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased the SL-1+ to use with my new FT-817ND and my laptop computer. It was better than I expected. Hook up was easy and works like a charm. I am using it with the MixW software. The only other experience I had with digital was the PK232 I used in Navy MARS. The SignaLink is fantastic for the cost. The only thing I added were rubber feet to keep it off the radio top.

Great interphases Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is an absolutely great interphase! I have two of them. Very nicely built and these are very very sturdy! Very compact too and goes real well with my IC706MKII and FT857D radios.

Great customer support Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My SL-1+ is working great with my Yaesu FT-100D and old FT-990. The first unit I received died the moment I first supplied power. A call to Tigertromics resulted in another unit being shipped by secomd-day air immediately. This unit has worked perfectly. I was amazed that they sent the second unit BEFORE I returned the defective one. I could not ask for better support.

Recommended Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have the SL-1+ (improved SL-1) and highly recommend it, especially for those who don't want to (or can't) tie up your computer serial port for PTT (one of the best features). The unit is small, well built, and works perfectly. It gets it's power through the interface to the radio.

The internally adjustable audio levels (a new feature of the "plus" model) came in handy when I switched from using my IC-703's RJ45 microphone input to the rear data Accessory jack. The default output audio level was not quite enough to drive my transmitter to sufficient power. Tweaking the SL-1+'s internal TX adjustment quickly fixed that.

The only feature I wish it had is a microphone jack that disables when PTT is on. That's the only reason I didn't give it a "5" rating.

Be aware that the interface jumper diagrams on the Tigertronics web site are not as up to date as those on the CD-ROM that comes with the SL1+.

Not so simple Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Well, this little box (SL-1) is OK, despite some problems it has interfacing with TS-2000 but the major issue I see here is that they should make easily available diagrams on how to connect this to the BACK of the radios, not to the front of them! Most rigs support dedicated data/audio in/out in the BACK without having to kill the MIC or Phones inputs.

Fantastic and easy Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have just received my Signalink SL-1+ with Kenwood acc cable from QRP Project in Berlin.

This has got to be the easiest piece of equipment to set up - Ever! The instructions are comprehensive and easy to follow and enabled me to have the unit working within 5 - 10 minutes of the postman delivering it.

The product out performs its makers claims and provides a cost effective method of opperating all digital modes with none of the dissadvantages of similar units, for example:

1. No need for a serial interface cable so does not interfere with rig control in the logging program.

2. Does not have to use the mike socket so your mike is always ready for use (You need the ACC cable for your rig)

3. Complete issolation between the rig and your computer so no possibility of damage to equipment

4. Internal TX & RX level adjustment if required (My one did not require adjustment)

5. Auxillary output for phones or speaker

Plus many more attributes that I wont go into.

I reccomment this product highly and also the supplier QRP Products for their speady and efficient service.
